Dog and I

I have some vices. 

"Have you heard of the Ayakashi Building? I heard that there's a new tenant living there."  the first woman said

"No way! I thought I heard it was a haunted house!" the second woman said.

"According to the movers, she comes from the high-class family. Look that's the kid!" said the first woman.

I've had them for so long, they're incurable. 

"You're the center of attention, aren't you?" asked the movers.

"Hah, are you happy that the bored housewives focus on us? I would rather not be the topic of their idle chit chat. How about you get right to your job?" 

I make meaningless bluffs and use coarse language. These are my vices..

Suddenly someone called out to me from behind.

"Oh~ you're already here Ririchiyo. You should have said something."

"Oh, it's just you Sorinozuka? It's been awhile"

"Huh? Weren't you depress just a second ago? The same as ever. You're just despising yourself as you lash out at other people again, aren't you? I came to help carry your luggage."

"Hmph, there's no need. Could you please act a bit less like you know what you're talking about? After all, our relationship is merely that of close neighbors."

"Oh really? But I know a lot about you. When we were in 6th grade..

Flashback  

"Ririchiyo, let's eat lunch together!" said a girl.

"Heh, so you like to swarm."

End of flashback

"You said that and turned her down.. yet, after that, you were crying your eyes out later."

"That's not true!! That was just nasal inflammation from my allergies!!"

"And then there was how you would always write a formal apology. After we have a fight when we were kids. It'd be about three pages long.."

"Th-That's not true!! I was just practicing my handwriting!"

"Wait a minute.. that's all your luggage?"

"I entrust to the company. You got worried over nothing." I said as we stepped into the elevator. 

Officially known as 'Maison de Ayakashi', this place is commonly just called as the 'Ayakashi Building'. Ayakashi in Japanese generally means stuff about ghosts, which is why in the common name it uses the Chinese character. It is a high-class mansion proud of having the best security, providing each family one Secret Service agent.  Only those who have passed a strict examination are allowed to enter here. The test involves checking one's ability to pay a high rent, family pedigree and personal history. These are the official requirements.

It's not like I was dying to get in here. I even turned the SS down. Incidentally, if you didn't know, the SS (Secret Service) are bodyguards. In any case, none of that matter anyway. I decided I would be staying on my own. That's why I left my house in the first place.

"I was actually thinking that the SS here stood for sexy service at first."

"Heh~ Do you know how to use English Dictionary?" I asked him sarcastically.

zing~

"I'll be in room 3, so just cry, "Help me!! <3" when you want me"

"Hmph, thank you for the humble invitation."
