playground ,, jaeyong [ ON-HOLD ]

it was a normal day, like always.

the park was quiet, peacefully quiet.

he was on the playground’s swing.

jaehyun was as always, reading a book.

out of the blue, he saw a dog approach him. it was a papillon dog, which he found adorable. he raised his eyebrow at the dog, trying to subtly check if it has a collar and a leash. to his surprise, it does have a collar and a leash. he pet the dog first, before checking its collar. " ruby? " he stated, more like asked to himself as he read out the name written on the mini nameplate on the collar. he sighed and stood up, holding the dog’s leash, holding it while continuing to read his book.

a few minutes passed and jaehyun decided to check his watch. he saw that it was almost 6pm. his roommate, johnny told jaehyun to be home before 8pm which jaehyun gladly agreed to as he only reads at the park for peace. not a minute later, he saw a person, more like a guy in a hoodie, calling out the dog’s name. the dog kept barking and jaehyun was glad that the dog found its owner. the guy found his dog with a guy and was relieved that his dog wasn’t kidnapped or tortured.

the guy ran up to them and jaehyun closed his book, putting it on the swing while standing up, and giving the leash to the guy he assumed is the owner. the guy bowed towards jaehyun and he nodded his head back. jaehyun was about to leave when the guy spoke up. " wait! what’s your name? " the guy asked, which startled jaehyun. " my name is jaehyun. jung jaehyun. " he exclaimed, smiling at the guy. the guy returned a grin and glanced at his dog for a split second. " taeyong. lee taeyong. do you go here often? " the guy which was taeyong, introduced, following his introduction with a question. jaehyun just hummed while nodding, getting his book and bowing once again to indicate that he’ll be taking his leave. taeyong waved at him slightly and jaehyun just raised his hand up before putting one hand in his pant’s pockets, the other holding his book while walking away.

taeyong was about to leave when he saw a paper on the swing. he took it and saw letters scribbled on it. the note said,,
'nice to meet you, owner of ruby.' taeyong smiled slightly and put the small paper in his pocket, then walking away back to his apartment.
