The faces of their security guards turned into annoyance the moment they approached the exit door. Getting the boys out is always made such a hassle whenever the paparazzi swarmed the location the One Direction members were currently located in hopes of getting usable photos for their papers. The mobs were often shoulder to shoulder with people.

Escaping the LAX airport proved to be nothing short of a headache. Lights blinked every which way as pictures were snapped left and right. It's surprising no one went blind from the flashes shinning brightly in their faces. The boyband never knew what to expect when going out into the open. Some days were better than others. Today happened to be one of the not so good days. The paparazzi were more aggressive the  usual, though that could be, in part, due to the sheer amount of them at once. It was not the most cameras the boys had ever seen in one area, but this day could definitely be up there.

There was pushing and shoving. A decent amount of the physical actions because the security could not find a clear path to walk the boys through without making their own. Odds are, one of the paparazzi simply thought another one of their own had pushed him and that was what made it seem acceptable for him to in turn shove his way to the place that would get him the best photo. Unfortunately, the camera man thrusted another man forwards and in turn, the front man collided with the blonde Irish man.

Niall needed to take several controlled breaths before he'd let the security begin moving them outside into the horde of shutterbugs. Claustrophobia was something he fought with on a daily basis, no doubt aided by their line of work. The fact that there were so many heads it made it impossible to count was doing wonders to build up anxiety even before he stepped outside.

Open. Close. Open. Close. Open. The voice in Niall's head focused on narrating what his left fist was currently doing rather than the overwhelming urge to curl up like a porcupine and refuse to move, or an even better option, completely disappear from the location they were currently in. The Mullingar boy tried his hardest to simply forget about where he was and he blindly let someone escort him to their vehicle parked directly outside the airport.

Niall was abruptly shoved out of his thoughts, literally, when a man's shoulder roughly pushed him to the ground. His arm shot out, trying to grab a nearby shopping cart to stabilize. The metal cart was not as anchored as he expected and all that he accomplished was taking it down with him. The ground slammed against his knee as he fell and he let out a pained cry, which was lost among the screaming of his and his friends' names. The odds Niall popped his knee out, an occurrence not uncommon, was supported by the throbbing feeling in his knee.

Zayn was immediately by the side of the Irish boy. The blonde hair and baseball cap were visible directly in front of Zayn. Next thing he knows, the head is no longer there and his protective older brother instincts take over. "Hey- Hey, you good?" Zayn wanted to take the time to inspect the boy. But security was making it clear they needed to hurry along and anyway, the repeated flashing from the cameras made it next to impossible for him to see anything.

"I'm fine. Just help me up." Niall didn't mean for his words to come off as sharp. But the pain and panic he felt was taking over his speech. Normally, the fall may have left a bruise and nothing more. But for Niall, whose dealt with problem after problem relating to his knee, the fall created agony for him. He couldn't control the wince that occurred when he attempted to put pressure on the injured leg and quickly shifted his weight where it would hurt least.
