Castiel gently held each side of Dean's face in his palms until their noses and foreheads touched and they shared a moment more intimate than anything either had experienced before. Slowly turning their heads, their lips touched ever so slightly. Both were careful with each other as if they were afraid either was made of fine china and could break into a million pieces at any instant. They began to kiss, at first softly, then more passionately as they eased into the kiss. Dean had been in love before but it'd never been like this, and Castiel? He felt like melted butter, there's no other way to describe it.
They snuck into the long hall of the Men of Letters bunker, looking out for Sam but not being too cautious, as they were still holding hands. The two made their way to Dean's man-cave full of vinyl records, a certain favorite magazine collection, and various weapons. Dean never had a problem with his room before but now that Cas was in it he felt self-conscious, like a teenager having their crush over for the very first time. I guess in a way, he was, since Dean had never had a real room of his own until the boys set up shop in the bunker.
"I don't want this to be like my relationships in the past," said Dean.
"You mean you don't want to...?" Cas replied.
"No I do—by God i do, I just think we should take this slow."
"So you don't want to have sex? At all?" Cas was a bit shocked considering how much he knew Dean loved to have women stay in the motels he occupied during hunts. "Is it because of the vessel?"
Dean shook his head, "No Cas I fell in love with you in this vessel that's not the problem I just, I don't want this to be a one time thing."
Castiel looked Dean in his hazel eyes, "I promise it won't be," he left a gentle kiss on Dean's neck, "If you want we can just lay here together."
He nodded, feeling his face warm up with contentment and butterflies fly around in his ribcage. Dean may be a warrior but no matter how tough the person, everyone likes to be close to someone whether emotionally or physically and sometimes it's the ones who are the toughest that need it the most.
Castiel walked around to the other side of the bed, taking off his trademark trenchcoat, shirt, and tie and folding them neatly into the drawer before settling in under the covers behind Dean. The hunter took off his many plaid layers until all that was left was a plain tee and his boxers. It all felt so natural to finally be there with his angel after all this time. Dean couldn't stop thinking, I love Castiel and Castiel loves me. All the thinking stopped when he laid down to face Cas on the bed. He lost himself in the intensity of the angel's piercing blue eyes and felt he never wanted to look away. Castiel reached out to touch Dean's face and ran his hands over the stubble of his cheeks. They laid for a while just looking at each other; really looking, since now they could do more than steal glances every once in a while when the other wasn't looking. Cas moves his hands until they were touching Dean's bare arms. He'd been touched by women before but never like this, every area of contact made Dean feel like pure electricity was running through his veins. They rarely had moments where they shared physical contact unless it was a brief hug through layers of clothing. Now there were less layers and less touching but every bit of it felt precious, they didn't need to have sex to feel close. Dean dared to get closer, fearing that somehow, some way, something was bound to go wrong. He nuzzled into Castiel's chest and ran his hands through the angel's hair mussing it up just the way he liked it, he closed his eyes tight, hoping that if he kept them shut the moment would last even longer. Cas wrapped his arms around Dean, caressing the rough, bruised skin under his t-shirt. Using his powers he made the skin return to its natural state while Dean relaxed in his arms and started snoring softly. Castiel's arm was falling asleep under the hunter's weight but he didn't mind as long as he got to hold the Winchester in his embrace.

Purgatory
FanfictionThis fic is based off Dean's season 15 monologue in purgatory where he prays to Cas. Instead there's a twist; Dean tells Cas how he feels. I will be updating and adding new chapters pretty regularly.
