This is why most bounty hunters preferred more flexible jobs, but sometimes the jobs just aren't available.
So when Din had only one bounty puck offered to him from Greef Carga he had no choice but to take it.
A runaway princess needed to be found and returned home, unharmed, not in binders and also definitely not frozen in carbonite. This target needs to be returned home with the presentation as if she was just on vacation, this target is you and you are definitely not on vacation. You also refuse to go home without a fight and until your father agrees to not sign the new peace treaty with the Trade Federation, it's all messy policies and you're just a princess who couldn't possibly understand.
The Trade Federation has "changed", they are good now and we need to agree to never work against them in the future, a futile mistake your father refuses to see.
Being a princess meant you were very well educated, you knew politics very well for they would be your job one day, to have full control over new acts and treaties and such and this is why your father should listen to you, but he refused to so you ran away to make him look bad to your people. To make them panic and wonder where is the beloved princess?
Being a princess also meant you, against your will, were not permitted any form of combat training or self-defence skills.
"What do you need any combat training for? You have armed guards with you at all times. No, you can not carry a blaster? Imagine what the people will think, besides it will ruin your delicate and innocent image, you wouldn't want that would you?"
Your father's voice rings in your ears remembering his past words.
It would be nice to have some combat training now, as you stand on your balcony of the apartment you rented in cloud city, you had no guards with you because they all always sided with your father, just an RA-7 protocol droid, T9-RA-7, who wasn't good for much other than constantly notifying you off all of your set meeting you were missing out on each day, and translating when needed. Company-wise he wasn't very warm or relatable.
It was early morning, the sunrise painted the sky and clouds various warm colours, you sipped on Cassius Tea that T9-RA-7 had made you and looked out at the clouds.
A knock sounds at the door and you quickly swallow your hot tea and go back inside the apartment, "T9 tell them no one is here!" You say in a panic.
T9 moves closer to the door and looks through the peephole.
"No one is here!" The droid voices in basic.
"Doesn't sound like it." A voice comes from the other side of the closed door and you place your face in your palm at the stupidity of it all.
"I'm just a droid, no one else is here."
"I didn't tell you who I was looking for yet." The man says sounding like he's lost his patience.
