Constellation of Hearts

Chapter 6

Following Connor in Third Person

Capricorn sat drenched in water and covered in moon dust. He should have expected the others to get back at him for all the pranks he had been pulling lately. Cap stood up and headed to find a towel and a dry set of clothes. He knew dawn was coming soon and he didn't want to be stuck in wet clothes all day.

While walking to find a towel, Cap passed two of his friends, Sagittarius and Taurus. Or as he called them, Tari and Tony. Sagittarius spotted Capricorn from a good few yards away.

"Hey Cap!" Tari called. As Cap got closer, they could see he was soaking wet. Sagittarius laughed, Catching Tony's attention, Who also started laughing.

"Why are you drenched in water and covered in moon dust?" Taurus asked when they controlled their laughter.

"Mist and company decided to get back at me for the pranks." Sagittarius snorted, Trying and failing to keep from laughing again.

"I think this was a great prank for them to pull. Sure it's simple but it's still really funny." Tari said, laughing while they spoke.

"Yeah yeah, I'm gonna go change so I'm not soaking wet all day." With that, Cap headed off to the starry house to get changed. He'd managed to make it back out to Tony and Tari just before the sun peeked over the horizon. The three froze in place, Unable to move until the sun was back over the horizon at dusk that night.

It was now growing dusk. The waking world drifted off to sleep while the nocturnal world came to life. As the moon rose, the stars slowly began to appear. The constellations once again came to life, Moving again after the long day.

Capricorn took a deep breath calmly, opening his eyes. Tari and Tony were already active again. They were chatting about something, Presumably Mist and when he'd be back. Cap walked over to them to join the conversation.

"Hey guys, Whatcha talkin about?" Connor asked as he sat down on a large boulder.

"We were just talking about asking Mist if we could visit earth." Tari said, looking up at Connor who was sitting just above him.

"Oh" Capricorn paused "I would like to visit earth, but didn't he say we'd be there forever or something?"

"No, He never said anything about that." Tony told them, Coming back to reality from his mind.

"Well, Do you want to go to Earth? I'd like to." Tari said, trying to lift their spirits. Heh, Spirits.

"I guess so, Connor?" Tony asked, turning it on his friend.

"Yeah, I'll come with. Not gonna be left behind ya know!" Connor slid off the boulder while Tari and Tony stood up.

"Just, real quick, Is it okay if I ask Virge if they want to come with?" Tony asked while they walked to The Circle.

"Yeah sure! Group of four friends, Two of which are closer than we are." Connor quipped lightheartedly.

"We are really close." Tony told them, a small, soft smile on his lips. 'Closer than you know'.
