Everywhere I go, Death follows me. No, not Death himself, but my love, Devlin, whom some call Death because of his dark ways.
They call me "The Butterfly" because of my beautiful snow white wings. They call Devlin "The Crow" because his wings are as black as the night.
As for now, I stand facing my sweet Devlin. I shiver in fear.
"Angel, my love, why do you fear me? You know that I would never hurt you. I'd never hurt a woman. Especially not you." He gestures with his hands as he starts to walk toward me.
"No." I say sarcastically."You'd rather seduce them." I look down, tired of running."Especially me." I whisper.
I hear him sigh just as I feel his hands on my waist.
He puts one hand under my chin and makes me look up into his electric blue eyes."My love, I may have to be dark and sadistic when I have to do my job, just as you have to be beautiful and innocent during yours, but I have never, not once, had a lover other than you. You are the only person I have ever gave my love to. And it shall stay that way for all of eternity.
He leans down and kisses me, making my blood boil.
And he knows it, too. He's always known what he does to me.
He presses against me, pushing me back against the wall.
I gasp, and barely manage to push him away. My whole body is shaking.
"No!" I cry, then run out of the alley, away from him
