~Prologue~Sosuke Ajino lost basically everything the day he had that accident. He lost his fiance.. and he lost his 5 year old daughter.. however her body was never actually found. He was knocked out by the accident and he never saw anything.. only but what seemed to be an illusion, a man who managed to open the back door and pulled his wailing daughter from her seat just before he passed out. Everything was blurry in his memory after that accident, the police interviewed him and he told them everything with a broken heart. His daughter was kidnapped and no one could find her. How could they? She wasn't even in the same country anymore. She was sold into slavery, she lived a miserable life, forced to work for not even food in return, forced to sleep with perverted man who paied her masters in return. She lived like this for days.. and then her masters had a visitor, he was a music teacher, an amazing one at that having thought all kinds of musicians. Violinist, pianist, guitarist, any type of instrument.. and he had a knack for finding talent in people by just looking into their eyes.
So the moment he looked into the 11 year old girl's eyes he knew she had a talent.. a talent he couldn't even imagine or seen before. He walked up to her and extended his hand, asked to take her on a trip and she said yes.. however her masters said no, so he then made them an offer they couldn't refuse, he offered them a large amount of money for her. Of course after this they said yes, they sold her off to this old man.. the man who would save her life.
He gave her a name, his name, adopting her as his own and started showing her music.. the moment she heard the sound it made she fell in love, she could always play the right notes yet they sounded so.. messed up in the right kind of way. She played freely, not bound by any rules music has, all the notes are there yet.. somehow sound so different and out of its normal tempo, it was like a roller coaster of both sound and emotion.
Music was her escape, she didn't even need teaching to play the same notes he did the exact same way.. however when she played for herself.. when she played her music it was enchanting, she played for a few of his students, the exact same song, the exact same way, yet all of them had a different experience, a different feeling, different emotion.
He gave her the chance to study music at a professional school however not all teachers were on board. Her style of music was too different, reckless even for them to accept, her music spoke to people very differently, some loved it, some hated it, some just plain loved it but refused it, she only competed once and as expected she lost.. but people knew who she was because of that competition, her music was so different and contradictory and that's because of her life, every time she played all of the emotions she's ever had in her life were poured into her music. The dispaire, sadness, pain, then the surprise, acceptance, happiness, love and finally.. freedom.
She never really competed, how could she? Her music, her style of playing would break every rule the competition has. She always only played for fun and Astor was ok with that, she was like the daughter he never had, because she in a way is, he did adopt her after all, plus he could never have children of his own. She was broken and dulled when he met her but ever since she started playing music that changed. She became happier, she became more free, however she was still very shy and isolated, she had trouble trusting people after everything in her life.
But then, at the age of 16 she heard it.. a piano so familiar to her, music she loved so much, suddenly the memories of her real parents came back.. but they were blurry after all these years.
"Who is that?" She asked the kind old man who was watching Ajino play. The old man (Astor) looked at her and watched as her eyes shone and slight tears went to her eyes.
"That is Sosuke Ajino. He was an amazing pianist but a tragedy happened. He got in a car accident and lost his ability to play along with his family." Astor answered and suddenly more memories came to mind, the memory of the day that changed her life for the worst.
"Did.. did he have a daughter? Named Reina?" She asked causing the old man to glance at her.
"How did you know that?" He asked as she sobbed looking at Ajino playing the piano on screen. How could she have forgotten? That voice in her head, the slight music, the piano sound that always resided in the back of her head, the one she'd hum to when she was scared or the pain was too overwhelming.. it was his.
"I.. I think he's my father." She said as Astor's eyes widen looking at the screen in front of him.
"How do you know?" He asked.
"His piano.. it has been in my head for as long as I can remember. I remember that day.. I remember screaming and crying extending my hands towards him but.. he looked dazed about to pass out with blood on his face. And then everything is black. Next thing I knew I woke up in that place." She said with a small tear.
"Do you.. do you want to find him and see him? I'm sure he's been worried amd suffering." Astor asked her as she looked at Ajino play the piano.
"I.. I don't know. I mean I want to see him, I want to tell him I'm ok, I want to hug him tight and never let go but.." She stopped talking and Astor smiled getting up and hugging her as she hugged him back.
"I'll do everything I can to find him." He said to her ear as she sobbed a little.
"Thank you.." She mumbled as he nodded hugging her tighter.
