I sat there just staring into her green eyes I swear I could feel her breathing. It was late morning but I didn't know exactly what time it was and looking at her clock would be hopeless. So I just keep staring into her bright green eyes, breathing steadily hoping, wondering, wishing she wouldn't hear me. Beep beep beep that meant time to go I thought onto lunch already I hadn't noticed so much time had passed. As I got up the lights around me flickered on reveling a plain white room and the only things in it were a mirror and a chair sitting in front of it. As I made my way to the door I looked back at the mirro what the green eyed girl was having for lunch. With that thought I pushed open the door and made my way through the black corridor with more bright lights shining down on me.As I walked along I looked at each number on the wall next to a door and then I passed room 109 I remembered that there was where Jessica my ex girlfriend lived. The breakup between us was simple and nothing but a few words and a goodbye hug and then we walked our seperate ways I sighed with a sense of relief it wasn't that I didn't like her she was a sweet but shy girl it was just she was what my parents approved of for me to be dating and set me up with her but as I dated her for a few boring weeks we both came to the conclusion that we weren't right for each other and that we should end the relationship this now she earned the title as just my friend. I finally reached room 122 and opened the door to find my mom as usual in the kitchen making sandwiches because it was indeed another wensday and it was mandatory for us to have them everyday actually the meals were the same everyday except for Sunday they were our day off and that meant that the day was yours so usually the meals were pretty special and on theses days I sorta felt like the green eyed girl. "Hello justin" my dad called to me as I entered the living room. "hi dad" I replied not making direct eye contact. " how was your day so far" my dad questioned "good" I said while making my way to the chair on the opposite side of the room. As I sat I noticed that on the back side of the newspaper that my dad was occupied reading that there was a new list of the broken mirrors and I looked more closely recognizeing one of the names of the list, I looked up at my dad with concern " dad what is ashes name doing on the list?" I questioned. My dad looked up from what he was reading and turned the page over to where I had been looking at. "hmm seems like he has been having some bad luck lately" I couldn't believe it, he was on the list for the second time. Ash was my best friend since i can't remember but he and I were always getting into trouble but we had each others backs. So this summer when I turned 17 and came of age to able to donate one of my mirrors to someone who only had one left I was devasted by my parents not allowing it they said that the more I had the longer I lived but I knew the real reason we were one of the few family's with all three members still having all three mirrors and got to stay in the council which meant a bunch of boring meetings to sit threw. I personally wouldn't have minded giving up one of my mirrors to a friend but without my parents consent I was forced to hand back the papers. I looked down at my hands without responding and looked at the clock it read 12am. Then I looked back at my dad he was still reading the paper but had turned the page back to whatever he was reading before. "lunch is ready" my mom called from the dining room. My dad got up first and I quickly followed from behind, I was starving since this morning because I overslept and missed the breakfast bell because I was out past my curfew with ask. Him and I were out at the common area where a party was being held but when the bells signaled telling us it was time to head back to our rooms ash and I decided that the party was still going on for us and we quickly ducked out. We went out to the pond and fooled around until an night patrol found us and forced us back to our rooms. killjoy. When I entered the house though my parents were waiting up for me and scolded me for what seemed like forever about how I was supposed to listen to bells and to follow the rules that kept order and control throughout the buildings. So now here I am drooling over the food before me. Then the announcements came on and finally the three bells signaling that could finally eat. We ate until the next three beeps sound signaling that lunch was over and time to go back I thought to myself with a frown
