Chapter 2 ° Embarrasment

"Y/N, why don't you come and recite it?" the headmaster asked, obviously noting you weren't paying any attention whatsoever. Everyone in the hall stared at you awkwardly. You could feel your face turn as red as a tomato. All of a sudden, Albert tapped you on the shoulder and whispered, "recite the water cycle". You nodded and slowly made your way to the front. "So first in the water cycle is... umm.. condensation. Then, hmm.. precipitation." you recite carefully. After a while, everybody gave you a sarcastic clap as you sat back down, very embarrassed. After assembly was over, you walked over to your locker and grabbed a few books out. "Where are you going?" Albert asked, sneaking up behind you. "To the library, I'm returning a book that I borrowed." you reply, slamming your locker shut and fast-walking over to the huge library. "Hey, I know it's embarrassing and all, but you gotta face it sometimes.." Albert sighed, trying but failing to sound as reassuring as possible. Once you had returned your books, you looked down at the time table, which was scrunched up in your hand. It was Science first. Just great, the last thing you needed was another lecture about the water cycle. Sadly, you and Albert didn't have the same class, you you waved goodbye and ran over to science class. A few people snickered as you walked by, but you didn't care. For most of the class, you were just sleeping at the back of the cold, boring room whilst you were doodling, and that's the worst thing you can do. "And... Y/N.. what is the last step of the cycle?" Mrs. Nani asked, lowering her circular glasses. You finally snap back to attention, and reluctantly knew the answer this time. "Infiltration!" you replied confidently. The whole class gasped, as if Melanie Martinez had just walked in the classroom performing a private concert.
