Jungkook and Jimin laid on their bed watching Finding Nemo. The two were tangled in each other's arms quietly laughing at each other's side comments. The two now worked steady jobs. Both graduated from community colleges and bought a bigger home for their family. Jungkook proposed to Jimin 3 years ago, but they were never able to properly be married because the world had other plans. They paused the movie when they heard a knock on their door.
"Mommy, Daddy, I had a scary dream again," their youngest said holding her blanket and rubbing her eyes.
"Do you wanna sleep with us princess," Jungkook said patting the spot between him and his fiancé. Hailey nodded her head and put her hands up silently asking for help on the bed. Jimin carefully took his baby girl in his arms and lifted her onto his bed.
When she was on the bed Jungkook attacked her with tickles and raspberries on her stomach. Jimin smiled softly as he watched the two laugh with each other.
"Is everything ok mama," a voice from the doorway spoke softly. Jihyun stood in the doorway in his paw patrol pajamas with his curly hair sticking up. Hailey heard her older brother's voice and her head shot up. The 3 year old admired her brother, and tried to copy him whenever she could. Jihyun taught his sister how to walk and say her first word.
"Hailey had a nightmare again," Jimin said rubbing his daughters back.
"Can brother sleep with us?," Hailey asked pulling on her fathers sleeves.
"Sure if Ji wants to?"
Sure enough Jihyun was in the bed cuddling with his sister. The family quietly dozed off together.
"You did good Jeon. I love you."
"I love you too."
The family drifted off into sleep holding onto each other and cherishing their gift of life.
