 Prologue:

The time has come. Thanks to a collaboration between the UN, Monarch, many countries and several other international organizations, the PPDC was formed. The Pan-Pacific Defense Corp is now an international organization created to deal with the Breach. Monarch has warned the world of kaiju native to our world, the PPDC was formed to deal with those of the Breach. The Breach being the codename assigned to a tear in our reality at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean that has been spitting out kaiju on a constant basis since 2016. In the beginning these new Kaiju were treated like any other in the world, they were classified as Titans by Monarch and they coordinated military resources as they would any other time. Until they found the Breach, and until they killed the first one. The kaiju from the breach, when killed, release acidic elements into the world and make the areas around their bodies nearly unlivable for anyone. Time went on and with the numbers of these kaiju and no way to seal the Breach new weapons were needed. So the Jaeger program began. Giant mechanized warriors piloted by people, codenamed Rangers, to fight the kaiju. Many died on both sides but recently with the influx of new kaiju in the world a change has begun to take place. Godzilla and the other Titans are fighting these foreign kaiju. But they aren't always in the Pacific, and they won't always defend us. So the Jaeger program persisted. Now there is a system that was designed by Doctor Serizawa, head of Monarch, and Stacker Pentecost, former Ranger and Marshal now General and head of the PPDC. Currently Monarch and the PPDC are busy dealing with the Breach, but what they don't know is that an equally deadly threat is on its way to Earth. A meteorite, but what makes this space rock even more deadly is what is inside it: a living being.

Chapter One: The Brothers

The sound of three pairs of footsteps in synch echo in the hanger bay. Their footsteps adding to the cacophony of sounds currenting filling the air: people shouting, vehicles moving things, alarms ringing. All these sounds make the three pairs of feet's owners feel at home. They are Cheung, Hu, and Jin Wei. Triplets. They are China's best Rangers and are some of the best Jaeger Pilots the PPDC has ever trained. Some people rumor it is because they have a sort of twin (triplet) telepathy that allows them to fight so in synch. "Everybody ready to go?" (Translated from Mandarin Chinese) The speaker is Cheung, the brother who is their official leader. He walks in the middle of the trio and has an air of authority around him. "Of course let's go spill some kaiju guts!" This time it's Jin on Cheung's right who speaks. Jokingly called the youngest of the triplets Jin is always ready for anything and is full of energy ready to fuel every fight the brothers come across. "We'll just follow your lead Cheung. I'm getting the stats of the kaiju now. It's been codenamed 'Onibaba'. A category two, just under two hundred feet. Should be no problem." The formal, analytical brother is Hu and he is reading off of a tablet while keeping pace with his brothers standing on Cheung's left. "Okay then, let's suit up and deploy. The Marshal said we are to go immediately." These three pilot the Jaeger known as Crimson Typhoon. This amazing piece of engineering is the Wei Tang brothers' destination. 250 feet of metal muscles with three arms, two on the left one bulky one on the right. The alarms screeching in everyone's ears is the signal that a kaiju has come through the Breach. To most it is the sound signalling destruction and death, to the Wei Tang brothers: it is the sound of fun and a fight. To these three, there is nothing more enjoyable in life than taking down those threats to their country and to those they care about. The Wei Tang brothers are fully committed to the PPDC's cause and nothing will sway them from fighting when called upon. They have successfully defended China's territory from kaiju nearly a dozen times, seven of those times alone without support from other Jaegers. The Jaeger program is currently being considered for major alterations to their program. The Wei Tang brothers along with most Jaeger pilots are being considered for the new Mecha-Titan program. They have reportedly had success with bio-organic computers aiding a pilot during the test on Skull Island. But all of that doesn't matter right now, what matters is that a kaiju is incoming to Hong Kong and that Crimson Typhoon will answer the call. This is the thought that drives all three of the brothers as they get attached and connected to their Jaeger. A countdown begins and upon reaching one the Drift is initiated. The Drift is the unique piece of technology that allows the Jaegers to be piloted and move so fluidly like a real person. It connects two people's minds and allows them to share their brains and take control of the Jaegers. When pilots are in the drift they know everything about each other because their minds are merging to become one, the closer the pilots are without the drift the easier it is for them to pilot together. So for the triplets who have been together their whole lives, the Drift is very strong. Crimson Typhoon is ready to deploy.
