Try giving them a reason to be sad, Say there dad didnt want them and became homeless at age 6 or 7 I dont know. You should also try to be creative with a the personality and a back story. Give them a reason for the personality. This also needs to be balanced so there personality isn't the only thing is that oc feels. Many people who start making ocs often make this mistake. Many people who make this mistake without learning continue with the mistake and when they make the oc and if they decide to publish it and get criticized they may have to rework the oc's personality from the very beginning. Personality is very important to the oc.
