Being in the spotlight is exhausting. Nobody realises what it involves :the constant drama, the non-existant privacy, the lies, the broken promises.

And yet, people are still so desperate to be 'popular', that they'd do anything to impress the cool kids.

I sigh, my head hurting from too much thinking. What is wrong with me? I am living any other teenager's dream. I should be happy. But...I'm not.

I glance down at my Rolex watch, checking the time.My bus should have arrived ages ago.

Oh sorry! Didn't see you there! Hi it's nice to meet you. The name's Jack. Jack Frost. Well...ok...not really. My real name is Jackson Overland, but everyone calls Jack Frost, after the winter spirit I 'supposedly' resemble. Well, I kinda know what they're getting at.

And seriously-you don't even have to ask how I look like.I've just turned 16, which I'm really excited about, cos it means I can finally learn how to drive! I know right;too cool!

But till then, I have to take a bus, which sucks because it runs late everyday. Today it's 10 minutes. Even though its the first day of a new term. But whatever.

The wind is really picking up now, sending spears of cold at my back, hoping to see me surrender, and put my coat on. But this is one battle I am going claim victory at. Cos what it doesn't know, is that the cold never bothers me. I relish in it.
As if from nowhere, a loud beeping sound cutting through the wind's screams of anguish, inviting me to enter my safe haven- a veichle full of chewing gum, rubbish and who-knows-whats. Finally.

I ignore the glare that Phil the bus driver sends me, as I climb in, a huge smile spreading across my face. Sure enough, at the very back, the special seat stands waiting for me, surrounded by the rest of the Guardians and other friends.

Flynn, a.k.a. Eugene Fitzherbert, as usual was the first to notice my presence.

"Yo Frost, ma man, come sit down!"
How could I have ever questioned my friends?

I make sure my walk is slow and confident, as I saunter down the aisle towards my friends. I've worked so hard to get to this position, and I'm not about to go give it up now. My eyes briefly scan the bus, taking in everything, who was there;who wasn't.

Flynn gets up to greet me, slapping me on the back, and quickly filling me in on what happened at so and so's party, who was going out with who, e.tc.
Although he's not an official Guardian, Flynn is still one of my best mates, and basically is the equivalent popularity wise.I've known him since primary school, although I first met him outside the head's office. As soon as we layed eyes on eachother, we just knew we were going to be best friends. Since then, we've been inseprable. Known troublemakers, partners in crime, are just some of the ways teachers use describe us.

By then, the everyone else has realised I've arrived, and crowd round me like a swarm of bees. I smirk at Bunnymund 'Aster Mund',and blow him a kiss, do a fist bump with North 'Nathan North'  ,high five Sandy 'Sandy Wilson' and flash a smile at Tooth 'Thalia Mediocris'.

We exchange gossip, jokes-what we've been during the half-term hols- and just like that, the gang is back.

It's only when we get off at the bus stop that reality sinks in. School has started again. The holidays are over. This is where the fun ends, and the hours of long, mostly boring, work starts.

Hurrah.

But I have an image to uphold, so I swagger through the gates like I own the place, a fake smile plastered across my face. My presence is immeadiatly recognised, and in no time at all, girls and boys of all ages are around me, asking me questions, flirting(mostly the girls!), what my opinion is on so-and-so's hair,  and on and on.

And that's when I see her.

Over the tops of student's heads, our eyes catch for a moment,  leaving me weak in the knees. But the overwhelming experience is one-sided. Her beautiful, azure eyes are filled with scorn and utter hatred, her body language stiff and cold.

A younger girl , most probably her sister, calls to her, and with a final, resentful look towards me, she turns on her heel and stalks off into the direction of the school fields, quickly swallowed up by the mass crowd of teenagers.

"Uh, Jack?"

"Hmm?"

"You nearly walked into the bin."

"I did?"

"Yeah."

Flynn looks like he's trying hard not to laugh.

I scowl.

"Shut up."

Sorry for not updating recently-I was soooooooo busy! :)

So our half Jelsa moment, hmmm?
