Tzuyu's POV
I saw her at the garden cafe of our company. I want to approach her but I saw Chaeng coming closer to her.
"You must be tired working late last night."
"No, of course not. I'm fine. I'm used to it and please don't treat me like a child who has a curfew and need to sleep early. I'm a grown up already." Mina said. tss' it's Chaeng's fault why she stay late at night after all. If she's that concern, she shouldn't let her work overtime.
"You knew that we went on the same college right? So I'm aware that you always go home after school, that's why I'm quite worried."
"Thank you but you don't have to. College is different from work so I can assure you that it's fine."
I can't take it anymore. I went down the stair and make sure that they notice my presence. Chaeng immediately say goodbye to her and went away.
"You two look very close. Be careful, someone might misunderstand you're closeness." I said then leave her alone.
Mina's POV
After Tzuyu saw Chaeng and I at the garden, she seems ignoring or avoiding me. She didn't look at me the following day. Not even a greeting from her came out. Is she upset?
I saw her talking to someone over her phone while walking. I was about to approach her but she just pass by me. What's her problem?
Lunch came by and Tzuyu still didn't talk to me. I went out with Sana and Momo unnie for lunch. Other friends of the two came to eat lunch with us. Jeongyeon, Nayeon, Jihyo and Dahyun join us. The four of them is in the higher position so it's a bit awkward for me.
"Relax Mina, you can treat us as your friend also. Don't mind the hierarchy in the company. It's lunch break and we're outside." Jeongyeon said.
"Thank you and I'm sorry if I'm awkward it's just that i'm shy being here with you guys." I said then we continue eating.
"Oh isn't that Tzuyu?" Jihyo said while pointing at the person in the garden.
"You know what, if Jeongyeon is not my girlfriend, I might hit on her cousin. Tzuyu is such a gentlewoman. She's savage but she's still a nice and very caring kid."
"Yah! I'm in front of you. Don't look at my cousin." Jeongyeon said then Dahyun's phone ring all of a sudden.
"Why is Tzuyu calling me? She's just sitting in the garden. She looks so stiff as always. Why don't she just go here. Hello? What do you want kid?" Dahyun said as she answer her phone.
"Unnie, help!!!!"
"Help? For what? You're just sitting at the garden, why don't you just get up on your ass and go here." Dahyun said, she puts it in loudspeaker as Jihyo requested.
"s-s-spi-spider unnie help. I can't move." Tzuyu said then Dahyun run towards her in the garden leaving me curious about that situation.
"Tzuyu is afraid of spiders. She's a brave girl but she hates spiders because they got so many legs and it creeps her out." Jihyo said. And it made me remember of my childhood friend, Choco. She also hates spiders.
I saw Tzuyu and Dahyun going our way. Tzuyu looks drain. I think the spider suck all her energy. All of them went inside the office while I stay behind. Tzuyu notice it and went back to me.
"Aren't you going inside?" she said.
"Tzuyu, by any chance are you the person I'm thinking off right?"
"Me? You're thinking of me?"
"No, not like that. You're Cho-choco right?"
"Finally, you already notice. I just got a whiter skin compared to my tan skin before and you don't even recognize me? The first time I saw you, I knew already that it was you even if we don't see each other after 15 years."
"I'm sorry Tzuyu. I'm really sorry for not knowing that it's you, my childhood friend from Texas. What can I do for you to be able to forgive me?"
"Hmm. Have dinner with me. Yes it's a date. And I won't take no for an answer. I waited 15 years for this."
"Okay. Sure, dinner it is."
"Mina-ya, I like you. See you later pengu." she said and wink at me that made me blushed. God! That girl is so straight forward and she'll be the cause of my early death.
