Chap1: Birthday Girl

*alarm goes off playing birthday by Selena Gomez*
I groan as I reach for my phone to hit the snooze button as my sheets are still covering my head. The music keeps playing, blaring from the speakers of my iPhone as I try to shut it off. I'm trying my hardest to hit the button but I go a little to far and end up falling off my bed "ow" I say as I'm laying on my stomach. I try to drag my body up off the floor like the zombies from the walking dead making my way to my bedroom mirror.
" *groans* eh! Who's that monster? Boy Don't you look beautiful on this lovely Saturday morning of horror......" I rub my eyes, looking closely into the mirror, spreading my eyelids apart so my eyes could adjust from the blinding sunlight beaming from my window
"Wait.....Selena Gomez's song birthday played as my alarm.....it's a perfect sunny day, well unusual for Oregon since it's already raining,....ITS FUCKING SATURDAY.....holy shit....it's my birthday......lmfao I totally forgot!....damn.....I'm 17 today...IM OLD".

Mom: "MIA! BREAKFAST IS READY"!

I hurry and throw my hair up in a messy bun and run downstairs.

Me: "mmmmm it's smells delicious! Let me guess. Your making your famous chocolate chip pancakes!"

Mom: "you know me so well! Happy birthday my lovely" she says as she kisses my forehead.

Me: "thanks! Where's everyone else? I thought I heard laughter before I rushed down."

Mom: "oh yeah, your father and brothers went to the store real quick, they will be back in a few minutes."

As my mom was flipping the pancakes I sat on the couch and flipped through the channels and ran across that's so raven (my absolute favorite TV show of all time.)
After 1 episode or 2 I ended up hearing the garage door open, which meant dad and my brothers were home.

Mom: "Mia, your father is home, can you please make sure he doesn't need help or anything?"

As I get up from the coach, I found my brothers running through the door giving me a big bear hug singing "Happy Birthday" at the top of their lungs. I couldn't help but not laugh as they sang horribly....like literally, every note they hit was off tune. It was pretty hysterical if you ask me.
As they finally got off of me I saw my dad standing by the dinner table holding a bouquet of purple and white balloons and a birthday card that read "my princess."

Dad: "happy birthday princess Mia! Your officially 17 today! YAY!!!!."

Me: "yay? Dad, I'm not getting any younger, I'm only getting older haha!."

Dad: "cmon now, let me enjoy this moment as much as I can before you turn 21" he says while chuckling.

Mom: "time to eat everyone!"

My brothers rush to the bathroom to wash their hands as me and my dad sit at the table.

Dad: "so how was your sleep last night? Get your "beauty sleep" or whatever you girls call it these days."

I laugh "yes surprisingly I did! I felt very refreshed, it was wonderful."

My brothers rush to the table as my mom sets a plate of pancakes stacked on top of each other in the middle of the table.

Mom: "DIG IN!"

Once everyone was done eating I decided to open the birthday card my dad had given to me. It was heavy kind of, damn, what was in that thing?!

Dad: "that is from all of us just so you know."

I ripped open the envelope and saw the card was a Justin Bieber card and whenever you opened it the song "Roller coaster" started playing, which made me smile like an idiot.

The card read "happy birthday beautiful! I can't believe your already 17! It feels like you just turned 12 yesterday! hope you enjoy your day and this birthday gift your about to receive. Love, mom, dad, Andrew and David."

As I was done reading the card there was another envelope sealed shut. I tried opening it without tearing whatever was inside, holy fucking shit I wanted to know what was inside so bad! Finally once I got it open and saw what was inside my heart dropped....I couldn't breathe....was this really happening?
