Don't follow YOUR heart

Do you know?

Do you know how many times someone has followed their dreams in becoming and actor,
When in reality they were supposed be a pastor?
Do you know how many times a person has tried to become a supermodel, when in reality they were suppose to be spreading the gospel?
Well guess what....
Do you know how many times people have failed in life because they chased their heart's desires?
Well, this is simply because the devil is a liar.

It's so often preached by society to: "Follow your dreams." "Do what makes you happy." "Follow what your heart desires."

I am going to be telling you why that mindset is toxic

First off, we were put on this earth for God's purpose, not our own. Therefore whatever is in God's Will for you is what's suppose to be fulfilled by you. People stray far away from God's purpose because they are so busy on trying to purse their own dreams and their heart's desires.... This can be dangerous and here is why.

Bible verses about the heart:
Jeremiah 17:9
"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"

Matthew 15:19
"For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander."

Proverbs 28:26
Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.

Psalms 73:26
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

As you can see, our flesh, mind, and heart isn't so trust worthy when God isn't added into the picture (when He's not the one influencing you.)
