This town just keeps getting weirder and weirder the longer I'm in it. Vampires? Really? I mean, are they trying to fool me? Do I look that stupid? Don't get me wrong. I actually do like The Frog Brothers. They're really interesting guys. And they seemed so serious about it. Like I should really watch for things that go bump in the night.

"So..... are you really taking them serious?" I about jumped through the damn ceiling upon Sam's sudden voice ringing in my ears, his face coming into view from my door. I was so distracted looking at their 'business card' they gave me, I didn't hear a damn thing around me.

"I really don't know Sam. Would I be stupid if I did?" He chuckled a little before sitting on the edge of my bed, looking over the comic book they insisted we take home to review. Like we were preparing for a battle of the night crawlers. And as I scanned the card, seeing their actually quite professional looking logo, I sighed in confusion. 'Vampire Hunters' was perfectly placed on it with their name. And their phone number stuck in my mind like glue. I mean, it wouldn't hurt to have it for future reference. And if they knew something we didn't, I'll let them humor me.

"No. But Mist, really? Vampires? Maybe that's why this place is called the murder capital of the world huh?" He jokingly shoved me with a smile firmly on his face, making me laugh. But deep down, I felt this notion that maybe these guys were right. Maybe Edgar and Alan were trying to warn us. It sounded so stupid. But, I guess I've heard weirder. I know they seem like a couple of hard asses. I never once saw them smile. But they genuinely seem to be telling the truth. And this comic? I guess holds the answers for us to be ready for anything vampire wise.

"I really don't know Sam. They were like dead serious. No hint of a joke. They even gave me a business card for crying out loud." His face scrunched up in a funny manner, looking over the card himself with a laugh escaping his lips.

"Do you have blood sucking monsters creeping at your window? Are they lurking at your front door? Is someone invisible when walking past a mirror? Well then you better call us, The Frog Brothers!" I couldn't help but laugh from the mere look on his face and the tone of his voice. He looked like a total goofball. That's my brother ladies and gentlemen!

"You're such a dork." He laughed, rising off the bed to head to his own most likely. Or do whatever it is he does in that room of his that I like to call the room of nightmares.

Grandpa has so kindly decided to give him lovely little animals to decorate his room up some. They just stare at you all night. Not creepy at all. I told mom if he even thinks of bringing one in here, I'll throw it out the window and swear that I don't know what happened to it.

"Don't let the boogeyman get you tonight sis. You know I won't come save you." I huffed, throwing a pillow towards the door to hit him just as he slammed my door shut, missing him by a split second. Man..... I swear having two brothers is a pain in the ass. Speaking of two brothers, Michael seemed to have gotten lucky with that girl. Her name is Star. And I don't think I've ever seen him so crazy over a girl before. He's like awestruck with her. But I could see why. She's beautiful! And she's sweet to be honest. Although she hangs with those guys I saw hanging around on the boardwalk outside the video store. They were seriously the most good looking guys I've ever witnessed. Something is different with them. Very different. They have this air about them. Like don't mess with us if you don't want to get hurt. But I think that's what makes them so alluring. The mystery behind them and who they really are. What they're all about. But, a sudden knock brought me back from my thoughts, looking around my room for the noise. It didn't come from my door. But I heard it clear as day in here. And as I walked slowly to my window, looking below at the ground, my heart stopped and I thought I was going to panic. The blonde, curly haired guy from the boardwalk was standing right below my window, a smirk plastered on his face. Like he knew I was just thinking about him or something. He looked.... pleased. And as I slowly opened my window, hoping to all hope no one would come busting into my room to see me talking to some guy I haven't even officially met. So that's the next question. How the hell did he know where I lived??

"So, are you going to let me in? Or just stare all night?" His confident smirk practically sent shivers through my body. He's so... alluring. One look and I'm gone with the wind. It's like he's got me under some spell and I can't get out of it. I slowly backed away from my window, thinking maybe I should slam it shut and call it quits before I did something i would possibly regret. Okay well, I would be fooling myself. Have you seen him?? I would regret nothing. But he seems so.... dangerous. Like he could kill me in an instant if he wanted. But wouldn't he have done that already if that was his intentions? I'm second guessing everything. And before I could slam my window shut and hope to all hope he would just leave, a really loud whooshing sound came past me, a huge gust of wind ruffling my hair all over the place. And I thought I was going to pass out from fear. Standing right by my bed, was the devil himself. I practically fell to the ground in fear, unable to speak from what I was witnessing. How the fuck did he do that?!

"You did open your window for me. So that was an invitation. Thanks." He winked, before slowly working his way towards me and I couldn't say a word. My heart was racing and my brain was working overtime, just trying to figure out what just happened. But he suddenly reached his hand out to me, lending me a hand off the cold ground, his eyes practically piercing through me. Like he was assessing me. His eyes were dark, full of some unknown emotion.

"How did....?" He put a finger to my lips, shutting me right up with my wide eyes causing him to smile in humor. I wanted to be afraid. But at the same time, I was intrigued. Who is he? And what does he want with me?

"So.... Misty Emerson. Beautiful name for a beautiful girl." And of course he already knew my name. Should I be flattered? Or deathly afraid, I didn't know.

"What do you want....?" He chuckled slightly from my nervousness at his closeness, his eyes dancing rather slowly over my face. He was playing games with me now.

"I thought I was making that perfectly clear. But you'll see soon. I'm Marko. Just, be more careful about letting people in huh?" His dark smirk set me on edge, his tone playful. He knew he was dangerous. And he wanted me to know it. His lips suddenly came so close to mine, sending my heart into shock I think because I could barely breathe. But he was suddenly gone just as fast as he had come and I was left a mess. I instantly slammed my window shut, making sure it was locked before I ran to my bed, grabbing up the card I was given earlier. I think I might be needing The Frog Brothers after all.
