Who will listen to the cries of children

if they all too busy building they profile

who will listen to the cries of women

if they all too busy blamin' em for skimpy skirts

who will listen to the cries of men

if they all too busy tellin' em toughen up

who will listen to the cries of the wind

if they all too busy wastin' its gifts

strained is the earth, it's plight too small

for the troubles of people even smaller than that

strained is the earth, its cries unheard

for the troubles of watchers who watch the others

with envious eyes
