Willa lay on her rough bed inside the tent. Jace was awake, cooking their breakfast of eggs and sausage atop a small fire. Willla thought she should get up, and assist her sister in cooking, but she did not want to. It was the coldest morning this year. She would stay in the tent until Jace was finished cooking.

She often wondered if they would ever stay in one place, buy a small house and live there, with a real job, and a dog. Maybe two dogs.

"Will, breakfast." Jace said. Willa heard, but she remained under the blanket, thinking about dogs.

"Willa. Breakfast." Jace said, louder this time. Willa still did not stir. It was simply too cold to leave the bed this morning.

Willa waited for her to call again, but Jace had resorted to throwing things at her. Willa finally moved. She slipped on her boots, and sat down on a cushion that her sister had set up by the fire. Jace handed her a plate of eggs and sausage.

Jace had gone to fill a pot of water, from the small stream by their tent. They would boil it, for tea. They were both in fur coats, and multiple layers.
