It's been 6 years since Ladybug and Cat Noir defeated Hawkmoth and discovered who he is and why he's been akumatizing the citizens of Paris. The heroes who were only 16 at the time finally revealed themselves to each other and realized that they have been in love with each other the whole time. They started dating and continued to stop high speed chases, armed robberies, kidnappings, and more.
After they graduated from high school they got a small apartment and went to college and they had graduated with honors.
Marinette and Adrien established their careers and became partners by turning the "Gabriel Agreste" brand into the "Agreste" brand. With Marinette doing all the fashion designing and Adrien taking care of all the business management stuff.
Alya and Nino recently got married and also established their careers. Alya became a news reporter and a well known talk show host. Nino to absolutely no ones surprise became the talented version of the infamous DJ XY.
Ever since Alya and Nino got engaged Adrien feels like he should finally pop the question and finally marry the girl. So finally after they moved in together and got their careers up and going he decides to give it a go.
Adrien secretly searched a few jewelry stores and looked online and finally found one that was just perfect.

One day while Marinette was out with her girlfriends Adrien went over to Tom and Sabine's bakery to get their blessing to go forward with the proposal. Tom and Sabine had grown quite fond of Adrien since the first day they met him and to the point where they're on a first name basis. To them he was already like a son to them, and they are just waiting for him to ask their daughter to marry him with or without their knowledge. But even with all that he was still nervous about this step.
He arrived at the bakery already nervous and shaky.
"Hello Adrien what brings you here?" Tom asked.
"Actually I was hoping to talk to you and Sabine." Adrien said.
"Of course, about what?" Tom asked gesturing for Sabine to come over.
"Well I hoping to get permission to ask Marinette something?" Adrien said reaching into his pocket to pull out the ring box.
When he said that they immediately knew what he wanted and only assumed what he was reaching for was a ring.
"Want your blessing to ask Marinette's hand in marriage." Adrien said holding the ring.
Tom immediately squeezed him to the point where he couldn't breathe. "Yes you have our blessing!"
Adrien really shouldn't have been shocked, but the emotion that her parents are allowing him to propose was overwhelming.
"Thank you so much!" Adrien said with so much happiness and hugged the couple. And immediately started to think of ways to propose.
He was thinking about doing on a romantic date or maybe a vacation. Do it as Adrien and Marinette or as Cat Noir and Ladybug. Does he want to do something in a public area or something super intimate.
After a little bit of figuring something out he had an idea...
Maybe he can propose as Cat Noir on national television...
