Hope

We watched her focus

We watched her look

We watched her hide

We saw her frown

We tried to turn it upside down

She felt so sad

No place to go

She felt alone

All by herself

No need for that

she did not get that

We walked up with a smile

She looked up and smiled back

No need for tears

because all your peers

are here for you and what you do

to guide you through

the wrong and right

to make it so

you know

it's alright

The choice is yours

who we are

good friends

by your side

A smile small but reassuring

That in every person there is a recurring

sense of hope that lives within

and inside we find that hope

if you seek it

Hope is there

do not let it hide
