What night can do

Staring up in the night sky
Where do bats freely fly
Sitting by the window pane
Is me who's heart is in aching pain.

Under the moon that shines so bright
And the stars that glows through the night
The sound of crickets filled my ears
As my eyes filled with unending tears.

And now, smiling here sheepishly
Of having the thought of nobody
The heart and mind begins to battle
Yet I can't do anything but to cuddle.

Irony how the night shines for me
To ease the pain of eternity
And I am free even just a second
To lose the grip of something on my hand.

This freedom seems refreshing
Yet everything has an ending
My hands and feet tied together
And the shadow starts to devour.

The eastern wind starts to blow
Yet Im still here, I cannot go
Maybe someday I can have that happiness
But for now, I must be left in the darkness.
