Travlyn

Katelyn shifted under Travis's arm.
He turned to look at her and tilted his head in question, "You okay?"
"yeah." Katelyn smiled and curled into her boyfriend.
Katelyn was not fine. Travis always gave Katelyn multiple, 'I love you's a day. Katelyn had yet to say it back and she felt guilty. Travis had been in love with her since freshman year. Katelyn couldn't pinpoint when she fell in love with him, but she knew she was. Katelyn was yanked out of her thoughts when credits rolled onto the screen.
"What do you wanna do now Blueberry?" Travis switched off the screen and turned to her.
"I dunno," Katelyn shifted again, "Go to bed? I'm tired."
"Anything for you," Travis picked her up and brought her to their bed.
Katelyn curled into the blankets as soon as she touched the bed. Travis crawled into the bed next to her and pulled the only other blanket over himself and the Katelyn burrito next to him. She moved the blankets slightly to cuddle into her boyfriend. Travis brushed her hair back and kissed her forehead.
"I love you Katelyn."
Travis's voice dropped to a deeper, more serious tone. Katelyn's heart leapt and she thanked Irene that the darkness concealed her blush. katleyn pretended to be asleep until she really did fall asleep.

Katelyn woke up as sunlight crept into her blinds. She rolled over and pulled a blanket over her head. Travis climbed the stairs, balancing breakfeast on a tray. he pushed the door open to see Katelyn pulling blankets over her head.
"Blueberry~' Travis sang, "I made you breakfast!"
Katelyn sat up and Travis placed the tray in her lap and kissed her cheek.
Katelyn, still groggy, rested her head on Travis's shoulder, "I appreciate it, but why?
"Because I want to show you how much I love you," Travis fed his girlfriend a bite of pancakes, "And because I know you faked sleep last night to not talk to me."
Katelyn's face flushed red, "I-I didn't..."
"It's fine," Travis sighed, 'I know I'm annoying sometimes. I'm probably a sucky boyfriend."
"No!! You're not!" Katelyn moved the tray and threw herself at her boyfriend, "You're amazing and I love you!"
Travis blushed, "What did you say?"
Katelyn whispered to Travis, "I love you Travis Valkrum."
"I love you Katelyn Firefist."
Travis cupped Katelyn's cheek in his hand and pulled her face closer to his. katelyn wrapped her arms around his shoulders and joined their lips together.

Love. What a strange, wonderful concept.

Too bad it may have to end.
