Tea always hated mirrors. The fact that her parents decided to put the one she got from her great grandmother, or to her "gramma", before she died just made her angry. She covered it up with pictures of her friends, her boyfriend, and her favorite TV stars. She never liked looking in mirrors thanks to horror movies & scary stories such as "Bloody Mary".
One day her parents got her a bulletin board. "Now Tea", said her mom. "Putting all those pictures on gramma's mirror is just plain disrespectful to her. Put them on here instead." She gestured to the bulletin board. She handed her a small package of thumbtacks. Tea already knew that if she argued, she wouldn't win. So she reluctantly moved the pictures to the bulletin board.
The next morning when she got up for school, she noticed her reflection in the mirror out of her eye. She walked over and stared for a moment. Maybe mirrors weren't all that bad.
Eventually, after about a week, it became a daily routine for her to look in the mirror every morning when she got up for school. One morning though, it was different. As she walked to the mirror on a normal Tuesday morning, she saw bright red lipstick smears on the mirror. It said "WHY?" in big letters. She just shrugged it off as a prank from her dad, & cleaned the mirror a few minutes later. The rest of the week went normally until Friday.
On Friday morning, Tea did not see herself when she walked to the mirror. Instead, she saw a horrifying image. A decayed corpse of an old woman, about 90 years old or so. She had a few long, white strips of hair, but she was mostly bald. She had no pupils in her eyes. She was wearing a pink nightgown with little baby sheep on it. Tea recognized that nightgown very quickly.
"Gramma?" , she whispered. She didn't want her parents to hear her, they would think she's crazy. The reflection lifted it's hand up toward Tea, and said "Whyyyyyyyyyy?" The hand began reaching out of the mirror to grab her.
"AHHHH!", Tea screamed. She reached over for her mini-fan that she had in her room and broke the mirror. A gray, decayed hand fell on the floor. It was Gramma's hand. Tea's parents came running. "Tea!", her dad said when he got in her room. "Are you okay?!"
All Tea could do was look back and forth between her parents and the hand on the floor. She knew no one would believe her story. Tea ran out of the room, and began breaking every mirror in the house.
"TEA BRISINGR!", her dad yelled. "YOU STOP THIS RIGHT NOW!" After breaking the final mirror, which was the one in the bathroom, Tea ran outside the door. She ran straight into the forest behind her house.
A few days later, police were in the forest she ran into looking for her. One day they found her, but she was dead. She was still holding the mini-fan in her hand, but there was a gray, decayed hand covering her face. When the police lifted the hand, they saw that her face had been scratched a lot. Some members of the police even claimed that if they looked closely at the scratches, they spelled out "why?"
