Meredith's POV

"It's settled then, she will stay with these five boys, as punishment for their reckless actions. Court adjourned." The judge says as I keep my face emotionless.

I am being forced to live with five boys who killed the one and only person in my life that I loved and cared for. I hated them, and now I have to live with these fucking idiots.

Great just fucking dandy.

It was basically empty in the court room except the boys, a few police guards, and myself of course.

I was on my way out of the door when I heard one of the boys whisper to the other, "Now we have to take care of a dumb kid." I think it was blond headed one who said that, but either way, it didn't make me hate them any less.

I just walked away, pretending I didn't hear a word they said.

------------

I took my car and started to drive back to my house.

I don't understand why I have to live with them. I mean it's only until I turn eighteen, but I don't want to.

I feel as if this is my punishment too; making me live with five strangers who killed my grandmother in a car crash. The judge should've taken away all of their license and put them in jail... forever.

Tears started to fall freely down my cheeks as I think about my beloved grandmother. I loved her so much, and she was so kind, even if she was mad at me, and she loved me so much. She is- no she was the only person who actually loved me. And I loved her back. We sometimes did fight, but most of the time we didn't.

I finally arrived back at my house. I go up to my room and start packing.

I packed all my favorite clothes that grams gave me, and zipped up my two suitcases. I took out one more suitcase for my drawings/paintings, drawing books, paints, pencils, and all my reading books.

As soon as I finished with all my packing, my room looked empty and lifeless.

I couldn't help but look around my room. I started to tear up but held back the waterworks.

I took my suitcases downstairs and grabbed my skateboard and put it next to my suitcases, outside.

I took a few steps away from the porch and looked at my house. I'm gonna have to sell it because I won't have enough money to live on my own when I'm eighteen.

I went back to the porch and sat on my skateboard listening to 'anywhere but here' by Mayday Parade, as I wait for the dumbasses to pick me up.

I wonder how they act. And where they live. I wonder if they are poor, or rich. But if they were rich they would've been able to get out of this mess easily, and if they were poor, they wouldn't have had an expensive car, that they crashed into my grandmother's car.

After about 20 minutes, they finally arrived, but only two of them actually came.

The one with a light stubble came over to me and introduced himself to me.

"Hey. I'm Zayn, and that's Louis." He says as he points to himself first then to the one who was driving, who is now opening the trunk.

I ignored him and grabbed my two heaviest suitcases and started walking over to the car. I put the two suitcases in the trunk and walked over to the porch to grab my last suitcase, but Zayn intervened.

"Here let me take that." He says and grabbed my suitcase, but I took it out of his tight grip and put it in the trunk, completely ignoring him.

I grabbed my skateboard, and walked into the back seat of the car, as far away from the driver's and passenger's seat as I could. Then I put on my seatbelt, layed down and slowly fell into a deep sleep. Hoping I wouldn't get nightmares.
