Connor
__________
It wasn't until I was eating my breakfast burrito, surrounded by too many noisy people, that I realized I hadn't seen either half of Troyler all day. I mean it was Valentine's day. Pretty much everyone thought they'd spend the night in the tree house. There was a lot of speculating about what they were doing but I'd rather not think about Tyler fucking Troye senseless.
My phone buzzes in my pocket as I walk out of the dining hall. I feel a smile creep up onto my face owning who it is with out even checking. I pull my phone out of my pocket seeing that 'My Princess' has texted me. I open the message seeing what my girlfriend had replied to me: Con Con when are you leaving for Aunty's house? It's been way to long since I've seen you. I miss you a lot.
We couldn't work out a way to see each other on Valentine's Day so I got special permission to leave campus to go to Brooklyn's aunt's house that is in the town we do trips to. I text her the details bring extra sweet and cheesy because she deserves it.
"Con!!" I hear Ricky yell behind me as I'm about to walk into my building. I turn around to see him running towards me. I wait for him to get to me not moving from my spot. He stops in front if me then he starts talking. "Do you know where Troye is? Because he and I are suppose to be working on something today but I can't find him anywhere."
"Troyler spent the night in the tree house I'm not sure if they're back yet. I'll tell Troye to find you when I see him." Ricky nods at my words then begins walking in the opposite direction. I walk inside not even glancing at the people in the common room as I make my way to my room.
I'm supposed to leave in about an hour for town. I need to get her presents together. I'm so absolutely happy that I get to spend the whole day with Brooklyn. I don't get to see her nearly as often as I want to. I mean we skype and snapchat but nothing compares to being physically with her. Being able to hold her hand and brush my hand over cheek. I can't wait until I don't have to miss her. I can't wait until the day that we get to travel the world together. That might be sooner than I originally thought but I'm totally fine with that.
I open the door of my room slowly just in case Tyler and Troye have decided to come back to the room. I don't hear any noise coming from inside of the room so I step inside closing the door behind me. I drag my feet across the floor heading towards my dresser so I can retrieve Brookey's presents. I put all the things that I bought in a bag with colorful paper. I'm shit at buying presents for people so I asked a few of her friends what she would want. I ended up getting her some jewelry, underwear, candy a few other clothes items. All of her friends insist that she is going to love the presents.
I don't see Troyler before I make my way towards the gate. One of the teachers is driving me into town then Brooklyn's aunt is bringing me back. I see the teacher waiting with an annoyed look on her face. Gee this is going to be a great trip. Not.
I walk out of the gate shuffling over to the car then sliding into it. I put my headphones in before she can even attempt to start a conversation with me. I text Brookey telling her I'm just now leaving the school. Surprisingly the stupid teacher doesn't try to talk to me. She lets me sit peacefully texting my princess. She lets me out of the car near a cafe and I start walking in the direction of Brooklyn's aunt's house through the powdery snow.
I look at the familiar door of the house before knocking on the door. I used to spend a bit of time here each year when I wasn't traveling. Brooklyn and I love coming here.
The door opens revealing the only person I want to see. An absolutely huge smile creeps up onto her face before she launches herself at me hugging me like she hasn't seen me in years rather than months. I kiss her head hugging her back with equal enthusiasm.
