This was it I had everything that I need, regarding medical things, everything I need to be who I really was. I put on the dress that I really wanted, that finally came. I put on the matching heels a red head band and red scarf. The red looked really well on my pale skin. I had black shades that covered my brown eyes. I styled my wig into a high bun and take a deep breath and walked outside.
Where was I going, well I’m not really sure what’s it called but , the place to change your name, that’s right I was going to change my name. As I was walking down the street I notice people from school and other places I’ve been. A coat in the window distracted me when I ran into someone causing my shades to fall. I looked up after picking up my shades to apologize when I was taken back by whom I had run into.
“Monique?” I said. She looked at me confused for some time and then said.
“Kenny?”
“Yea…for now.”
“What?”
“It’s really none of your concerns, so if you excuse me have places to me.” I say snotty to her. I put my shades back on and hold my head up high and keep walking. Walking in heels felt very natural to me, in fact I don’t believe I have ever felt this confident in my life.
