Krestena's POV

It's the morning after the announcement of the four champions. I decided I needed to talk to Cedric and Harry. I go talk to Cedric first as Harry is still sleeping. I go to the great hall to see Cedric surrounded by hufflepuffs. "Cedric, a word please?" I ask and he smiles at me. He leaves them and we go outside.

"Hey gorgeous" he says hugging me.

"I'm proud you got in, but just know I'll be there to help you" I tell him. "But I'm also worried about you and Harry. First my boyfriend is a champion and now my god-brother. I feel like Harry being in the tournament was no accident. Someone is after him" I explain.

"Hey, it'll be ok" he assures me. "I'll be fine and try to look after Harry best I can. Without letting him beat me of course" he tells me.

"Of course, but know I'll only help you. No doubt Hermione will be helping Harry along with Ron" I tell him.

"Good, you know I've been researching the old tournaments. Each one there's a ball on Christmas night" he tells me smiling.

"Really?" I ask.

"I think that's why we were told to bring dress robes, I know it hasn't been announced. But would you be my date?" he asks me.

"Of course" I say and kiss him gently.

"Krestena!" Hermione calls and I turn to see her holding a plate of toast. I held up a finger signaling her to give me a minute. Then turn back to Cedric and kiss him again before pulling away.

"I have to go talk to Harry now, but see you at lunch?" I ask.

"Sure thing, I'll save you a seat" he tells me smiling. We hug and he returns to the great hall. I go over to Hermione.

"Where's Ron?" I ask her confused.

"He doesn't believe Harry and is jealous" she grumbles.

"Idiot" I mumble and she nods her head in agreement. We reach the portrait hole as Harry comes out. "Hello" I say with Hermione as she holds up the plate of toast.

"I brought you this. . . . Want to go for a walk?" Hermione asks him.

"Good idea" he says sounding grateful. We leave the castle and head towards the lake as Harry explained what happened after he went through the side door.

"Well, of course we knew you hadn't entered yourself" I tell him.

"The look on your face when Dumbledore read out your name! But the question is, who did put it in? Because Moody's right, Harry. . . I don't think any student could have done it. . . they'd never be able to fool the Goblet, or get over Dumbledore's..." Hermione starts to explain.

"Have you seen Ron?" Harry asks us and I shake my head.

"Erm. . . yes. . . he was at breakfast" Hermione says hesitantly.

"Does he still think I entered myself?" Harry asks her.

"Well. . . no, I don't think so. . . not really" Hermione says awkwardly. I snort rolling my eyes. That's not what she told me.

"What's that supposed to mean, 'not really'?" Harry asks her.

"Oh Harry, isn't it obvious?" Hermione asks him despairingly.

"He's jealous" I tell him.

"Jealous of what? He wants to make a prat of himself in front of the whole school, does he?" Harry asks us.

"Look, it's always you who gets all the attention, you know it is" she tells him.

"We know it's not your fault" I assure him before he can snap at Hermione.

"I know you don't ask for it. . . but - well - you know, Ron's got all those brothers to compete against at home, and you're his best friend, and you're really famous - he's always shunted to one side whenever people see you, and he puts up with it, and he never mentions it, but I suppose this is just one time too many" Hermione explains.

"Really great. Tell him from me I'll swap any time he wants. Tell him from me he's welcome to it. . . . People gawping at my forehead everywhere I go" Harry tells us.

"We're not telling him anything" we tell him.

"Tell him yourself. It's the only way to sort this out" I tell him.

"I'm not running around after him trying to make him grow up!" Harry exclaims. Startling a few napping owls in the near by tree. They flew off to the owlery.

"Harry, I've been thinking - you know what we've got to do, don't you? Straight away, the moment we get back to the castle?" Hermione asks him.

"Write to my dad" I say smiling. "You've got to tell him what's happened. He asked you and I to keep him posted on everything that's going on at Hogwarts. . . . It's almost as if he expected something like this to happen" I tell him.

"I brought some parchment and a quill out with me" Hermione adds.

"He came back to the country just because my scar twinged. He'll probably come bursting right into the castle if I tell him someone's entered me in the Triwizard Tournament" Harry tells us.

"You tell him or I will" I retort.

"But he'd want to hear it from you. He's going to find out anyway" Hermione tells him.

"This tournament's famous, and you're famous. I'll be really surprised if there isn't anything in the Daily Prophet about you competing. . . . You're already in half the books about You-Know-Who, you know. . . and dad would rather hear it from you, I know he would" I tell him.

"Okay, I'll write to him" he agrees reluctantly. He throws his last piece of toast into the lake. We all stood and watched it floating there for a moment, before a large tentacle rose out of the water and scooped it beneath the surface. Then we returned to the castle.

"I'm gonna go find Cedric, but Harry I'll see you later. Tell my dad I said hi" I say smiling. He nods his head and we hug each other. He and Hermione head to the Owlery while I head to the great hall. To see Cedric existing it. I run and jump onto his back. "Hey handsome, miss me?" I ask him.

"Certainly did, how's Harry?" he asks me.

"Confused, he's writing to Snuffles about the tournament. Anyway what are you doing right now?" I ask him.

"Nothing, want to go to our tree?" he asks me. I nod my head and shove off his back shove him lightly.

"You're it" I say and run off. I hear him run after me and giggle. Before I good get to far he tackles me to the ground. But turns so he hits the ground first. Then flipped us over and started tickling me. "Stop!" I shout laughing.

"Say I'm the best boyfriend in the world" he tells me.

"You're the best boyfriend in the world!" I shout. He stops tickling me and I pout. "I hate you" I grumble.

"Love you too darling" he says and kisses me gently. He gets off me and helps me up. We go to our tree and go to our branch. He leans against the trunk with me in between his legs. We just sit there in silence enjoying each others company.
