The Snow

"Chilly Willy? Where aaarrree yoooouuu?" Steven ran along the snow-covered ground, looking for his best friends. "Smaaaaartyyy! Gaaaaaaalm? I'm gonna find you!" He called as he was looking in a nearby bush. The Derp Crew had come to vacation together in snowy Colorado, where they could record and chill for two weeks. When they had gotten off the plane and to their hotel, they noticed there was a nearby park, perfect for a game of hide-and-seek. Ze had been announced the seeker once he lost the games of rock-paper-scissors they played, and he now had the task of finding his funny friends, but was unsure he was going to be able to. The park was very large and had plenty of bushes and trees they could hide in. Steven sighed. He wouldn't give up, it was only the first round. He was determined to find them. Suddenly, there was a subtle rattle of chains behind him. Steven swung his head around. The swing set that had not been disturbed before was swishing back and forth, making a clink clang clink sound He saw a navy blur dart into a bush nearby, and with the quick movements, a swishing noise coming from the bush. Steven darted in the direction of the noise, being as quiet as possible. Once near the bush, he looked inside of the thick bundle and saw a pair of eyes looking directly at him. He smirked. "Oh shit. You see me don't you?" The figure in the bush whispered. "Yup. C'mon Galm, you thought I wouldn't hear the swing set?" Steven laughed, as Galm started to make his way out of the bush. "Well, I thought you'd be too busy trying to find your boyfriend,"Galm replied with a teasing tone, and laughed, shooting a smirk at Ze. Steven's face turned red at the mention of it. "Chilled's not my boyfriend." The viking said, looking down and blushing. Galm laughed once again. "How do you know I was talking about Chilled?" He teased. Steven blushed even more as they walked along. "Shut up. Let's just keep looking. You go towards the pond, and I'll go towards the playground, okay?" Ze said as he walked in the other direction. Galm started walking to the frozen pond, hoping to find the last three guys. When Galm was far enough away, Steven let the blush consume his face. He was not going to admit his crush just yet. Anyway, he was sure the Italian didn't love him anyway. So, blushing mildly, Ze made his way to the large, plastic and wooden structures covered in snow. He was sure Chilled would be over there. He trudged toward the largest structure, a three story, castle-like tower. Much like you would find at an elementary school. He snuck underneath the connecting bridge, where there was a little nook even Chilled, the tallest of them all, could tuck himself under. He started to make his way under, and a hand shot out. Surprised, he started to jump back, but the hand grabbed him. It pulled him under the playhouse. "Now, Smart-Ohhh Shit. Ze! I thought you were Smarty!" Chilled laughed, as Ze looked at him and laughed awkwardly. "Aw man dude. You were sneaky as fuck! How the hell were you so silent?!" Chilled asked him, looking into Ze's eyes. "Well, uh, I don't know. I stepped lightly, I guess." Steven said, flustered. Their faces were only inches apart, which made him blush even more than any of Galm's comments. Chilled was silent for a moment, then spoke up, saying, "Well, I guess we better look for Smarty and Tom. Who knew Smarty was so good at hide-and-seek?" He laughed, awkwardly, just like Ze had before. His voice was quiet, soft. Like he didn't want to move. His gaze on Steven softened. It made Steven wonder if the strong, Italian man could love him, and his eyes grew wider.  Eventually they heard a loud,"God dammit Galm!" Through the trees beside the playground. When they looked they saw Galm and Tom walking out of the bushes, Tom with a scratch above his right eye. It didn't surprise either Ze or Chilled that Tom had hurt himself. Those bushes were cruel with their spiky, thorny branches. Chilled carefully scooted out from under the small bridge on the large structure, as did Steven. They looked at each other for a minute, then decided they need to find Smarty.  After looking awhile, they heard a crash from the left of the playground. "Jesus fucking Christ!" They heard Smarty yell out. They all ran towed him to see that he had fallen out of a tree. Good thing he had landed in the piles of snow below. They all laughed, even Smarty, at his fail. They decided that because Galm was caught first, he had to seek next. When he started to count to the targeted number, Smarty ran of toward the playground, Tom to the frozen pond, and Chilled and Ze to the forest-like area. They stopped running after a while, and panted as the cold air filled their lungs. "So... Do you have an idea?" Ze asks Chilled as they took a rest. "Let's just hide in this large bush," Chilled said, gesturing to said bush. "Galm won't know to look deep inside the bush." He made his way farther into the large bush, and gasped. "What?" Ze said behind him."Wow..." Chilled said in awe. Inside the bush was a magnificent area with pure, fresh snow. Ze slowly entered the beautiful arch of branches, and saw exactly what Chilled was gasping at. There was a frozen pond in the center of the foresty-cavern. Around it was fresh snow, with tree and bush braches surrounding the pond. "It's... It's beautiful!" Ze exclaimed softly, as his eyes sparked with wonder and awe. Chilled ran to the pond, and hopped in the center, very non-gracefully he flopped down and fell right on his butt. Ze giggled as Chilled laughed at himself. "Wait for me Chilled!" Steven yelled excitedly as he ran to the frozen pond. Chilled stood up once again, and gained his balance. Ze jumped towards Chilled and grabbed his hands, slightly falling, but regaining his own balance with Chilled's stable hands. They laughed and spun, looking into each others eyes, and they lost themselves in the amazing winter day the found themselves having. After skating around, Ze found a pile of snow while Chilled was lasing up his boots. "Hey, Chilly Willy? Do you wanna build a snowman?" Ze half-sang while smiling and holding a ball of snow. Chilled laughed and said ,"C'mon let's go and play!" He ran to Steven and started balling up snow. "I never see you anymore..." Ze trailed off at that point, knowing that what he joked about was true. Chilled put the middle part on the snowman as he sighed, also knowing that was a true statement. They finished up the top of the snowman in silence, then started slowly putting braches and berries on for details.  Finally, Chilled turned to Ze and looked him in the eye as they got closer. "Ze, I need to tell you something." Chilled spoke, when they were only inches away. Ze swallowed and listened to the Italian man's slow and careful voice. "Ze, I know we never get to see each other in person, and its the start of our vacation with the rest of the crew, but if what I'm about to say shocks you too much, I'll leave for you. Well, here goes. Ze, I really, really, really love you. As in, more than just a friend. You're my best friend. And I want to know, Ze, will you be my boyfriend? And move in with me in New York?" Chilled blushed as he got to the end of his little speech, and looked down at Ze with cautious, yet curious eyes. Ze couldn't believe what had just happened. His mind raced. Although, he knew the answer was easy. "Of course, Chilled. I would love too." Steven answered the Italian man he loved. He saw Anthony's face light up, and they moved in closer to kiss. Of course, by this time, Smarty, Tom and Galm had found their secret place in the trees, and were listening to, and watching, their exchange of words from behind a shield of branches. Galm and Tom, loving to be the mood-breakers, started singing Can you Feel the Love Tonight, from Lion King, while Smarty screamed , "THE SHIP IS REAL!". Ze and Chilled became really embarrassed, and blushed harder than they had ever before. "Ya know, Ze, I'm a bit of a fixer-upper." Chilled smiled. "That's okay Chilly Willy, love is an open door with you." Ze laughed as they hugged with Galm and Tom's musical talent in the background, and snow falling into a soft flurry around them.
