"Born or cursed with it?"

"Born with it, and it's growing stronger." Her husband's voice was strong but worried.

You have no idea...

That day flashed in her mind, the day her only friend abandoned her, made her face the punishment for his actions. The day everything was lost.

"Faster Samantha! The witch is going to catch us!" He called to her, far ahead. The poor little girl kept tripping over her own feet, holding a little vial full of a special potion.

"I'm trying! Umph!" The girl fell down on her face. She rose back up to her feet and ran faster, those her knees were bloody and her face covered in dirt and in her eyes.

Together the duo ran through the forest, an old woman racing behind them screaming at them. "Damn you! Give that back!"

Samantha called out to the boy. "Harold! Hold up!" Then it happened. She fell once again but this time, she couldn't get up. The witch had put a spell to make her stay on the ground.

The boy kept running, he went even faster. "HAROLD!" The girl called out to her friend. "WAIT! YOU STOLE THIS! COME BACK! Please..." The betrayal hit her little heart hard. She was frightened.

The witch approached her and snatched the little vial out of her hands. "So it was YOU whose the damned one! I'm going to send you straight to hell, child! Do you know the consequences for your actions?! I'll-"

The witch stopped. She looked and the horrified look on the girl's face, the innocence. The girl started crying. The witch sighed gently.

"Alright, alright. Stop your crying you little bitch. Seriously. It's getting on my nerves." She rubbed her shoulder then put her hands together. "I can't let your actions go unpunished but I won't hurt you, instead, I promise you this. You will have a child, she will be beautiful and graceful. But she'll be cursed with the power of ice and snow that will eternally grow. Fear will control her life and she'll fall apart and she will destroy everything she's every known."

The witch opened up her hands to reveal a small glowing ball of snow and ice floating in between her hands. She blew it and it forcefully struck the girl right in the heart. The cold enveloped the girl, she felt like her entire body was made of ice.

So cold. What happening?

With the cold came pain, and visions. She saw a young maiden in a dress made of ice and a long white braid, standing in an ice castlle, about to murder two people. She could feel the fear and hatred raging through her, the ice that flowed through her veins.

Fear, will be your enemy.

The queen snapped from her visions from the past and focused on the situation at hand.

"No, she can learn to control it, I'm sure. But until then, we clsoe the gates, we reduce the staff, we limit her contact with people. We'll hide her powers from everyone. Including Anna."

No, no, no! Don't do this! That'll get raise the fear! Don't do this! Let's show Anna she has powers! Let's just live life like we had! She needs to embrace her powers before it's to late!

But the queen could say nothing, it was not her place.

Who knows... maybe it is for the best.  All I want to do is to let Elsa know I'm sorry and try to stop her predeterminded fate.
