Aliens FanFiction: Markings of a legend

A/N: hey guys! My name is Selena, for most who don't know me and this is my first Aliens FanFiction. also just to let you guys know that I have seen all the Aliens movies but it was when I was a little young so my knowledge is limited. Year: 2060 (Lol I don't even know, just making the year up :P)

Stephanie's POV:

"Up and at 'em cadets! Come on wake up!" I heard a voice yell almost in my ear as I cringed slightly while I blinked my eyes open.

I grunted as I pushed myself out of the comforts of my bed and stood straight and at attention as my teammates followed suit.

The captain of our team stood at the entrance of our tent with a clipboard in hand "alright you lazy bones! For some of you who don't know I am your captain, when addressing me you are to either call me sir or captain Cordardia." He said as he walk between us.

He flipped a page on the clipboard "alright, roll call! If I say your name step forward to confirm your age for the records." he said as he kept his eyes on the clipboard.

He cleared his throat slightly as he looked at all five of us "Hillary Vale." he said as a girl with bleach blonde hair stepped forward "23 years old, sir." She said with a salute.

He gave a nod as she stepped back "Oliver Roché." He said as a very young looking brunette of a boy stepped forward "24, sir." he said plainly as he stepped back.

The captain gave a small glare before continuing "Emilia Suzanne." he said as a girl with dirty blonde hair with red streaks at the front along with some freckles scattered on her cheeks "22 years old sir, hope I won't be a screw up." she said with a salute and backed up.

He hummed as he looked to the clipboard as he grabbed a pen and quickly scribbled down the numbers before looking up again.

"Oscar Profer." he said as a boy with a slight build and raven black hair stepped forward "25, captain Cordardia." he said while saluting.

The captain looked back to the paper and frowned, I didn't know why so I waited for my name to be called but my eyes caught on to the engraved mark on my chest.

I always wondered why it was there and the most weirdest thing was that it changed color to my emotions, I even made my own personal list.

Right now it was hovering between light and dark green, the inside of the mark was always a blue-violety color no matter how I felt.

I perked up as I heard the captain mumble something and I guess no one else could hear "gotta keep a eye on him." keep an eye on Oscar? why would he need to do that?

"Stephanie Me Delo." he said as I raised my head and stepped forward, I gulped, out of everyone on my team I'm the youngest because "I-I'm 20, sir." I said as everyone stared at me.

I shuffled as the captain wrote down my age "a little young to be in the marines cadet?" He questioned as he tucked the clipboard under his arm.

I wanted to say something but I kept my mouth shut as I stepped back just as who I guess was the general walked in.

All attention shifted from me to the front "ah, general, nice to see you." the captain said as they both shook hands "same here captain Cordardia." he said as he let go and looked at all of us.

He stared at me a little longer than the others before the captain handed him the clipboard, there was silence as he looked at the paper.

He gave a nod "good, but I have a reason for being here." the general spoke up as everyone took a glance at each other before looking forward.
