(6- The Fall (USJ PT 2)

Niko's POV
I stood by and watched emotionlessly as the Nomu crushed Eraserhead's head into the concrete floor. I was growing restless, being unable to fight.
I heard a gasp coming from the water. I glanced over and saw the green haired guy from when I posed as a student in UA, a girl with frog-like features and a really short guy with...balls instead of hair?
Seriously, they must just let anyone into that course.
I motioned to the kids, and Dad took notice. As the Nomu held Eraser down, Shigi walked up to the kids, and held out an extended arm to froggie's face, his fingers about to decay her. However, Eraserhead had somehow managed to cancel Dad's quirk, making me growl in anger. I used my quirk to manipulate Eraserhead's emotions, and soon he passed out from extreme anxiety and his wounds.
The broccoli boy tried to stop Dad from touching froggy by punching him, but the Nomu took the hit. Hayashi stood unsteadily beside me, gripping onto my shoulder for support. I turned and smirked at him, and he returned my smirk with one of his own.
I felt my stomach twinge with a sense of unease as I looked into his one green eye and one metal eye.
Something bad is about to happen.

Moments spent with Hayashi flooded my brain, the small actions that built up our friendship played on a loop through my head as I watched All Might leap into the fight with the Nomu, and Hayashi yelled in panic and tried to lead me away from the fight. But I couldn't go; I was Dad's weapon specifically for this situation. I gave Hayashi's hand a squeeze and directed a soft smile towards him as I stepped forwards toward All Might who was half-encased in one of Kurogiri's portals, after punching the Nomu into oblivion.

3RD PERSON POV
The UA students watched as the mysterious girl walked towards the trapped All Might, with a calm demeanor despite the situation she was in. Midoriya could hear her muttering to herself, 'go all out, they can't hurt you...'
The ragged-looking man with one metallic eye and one green eye was looking on nervously, tugging at his brown hair so it would cover the part of his hair that wasn't covered by his mask. The blue haired man looked ecstatic.

The girl closed her eyes and raised her hands, aligning them side by side and directed at All Might. She pointed her index and middle finger of each hand at All Might, with the rest of her fingers curled up in a fist. When she opened her eyes, her purple eyes had turned a lilac shade, and were progressively becoming lighter and lighter in colour.
All Might was writhing in pain and discomfort as the girl used her quirk on him, exceeding her limit and using abilities she never knew she had. She was replaying All Might's worst nightmare in his head, and stimulating all of his negative senses.
As All Might yelled out in pain, the girl seemed to be getting weaker and weaker. Hayashi tried to run to her, but he was held back by Shigaraki.
'STOP! YOU'RE GOING TO KILL HER!' Hayashi screamed manically, making all of the UA students look alarmed towards him and the girl.
Niko was now bleeding out of her eyes and mouth. It looked as though she was crying blood. She threw her head back and screamed, blood spitting out of her mouth. Her shaking hands never stopped pointing at All Might, a student named Midoriya noticed. It must be how her quirk works.
Niko dropped to her knees as the world slid in and out of her focus, her eyes now a greyish colour. At this point, Hayashi broke out of Shigaraki's restraining grasp and ran as fast as he possibly could to Niko, trying to prop her up. Niko kept her fingers pointed at All Might however, keeping her quirk activated and making the number 1 hero grunt in pain.
'KEEP GOING, NIKO! DO YOUR FATHER PROUD!' Shigaraki yelled, spurring three UA students into action.
Katsuki Bakugo leapt towards Shigaraki, Shoto Todoroki attempted to freeze Niko and Hayashi to immobilize both of them and Izuku Midoriya tried to pull All Might out of the portal.

However, before any of these three's actions could occur, two loud gunshots shocked the whole of the USJ into silence.
The pro hero Snipe, along with many other UA teachers and pro heroes, revealed themselves on the podiums.

Shigaraki screamed; one of the bullets had hit him. The UA students were looking around to see who the other bullet had hit, and they gasped when they saw the scene in the middle of the plaza.

Niko lay slumped in Hayashi's arms, who was on his knees sobbing. He was so high on adrenaline that he didn't even notice the searing pain in his chest, or the blood that was now leaking from the gunshot wound in his upper chest. He was checking Niko's pulse, and hugging her. It was a heartbreaking scene.
Niko regained consciousness for a brief minute after Hayashi made a poor attempt at CPR.

Niko's POV
Everything was so hazy. I could hear yelling, sounds of joy, and crying, but they all seemed so distant. I opened my eyes and was blinded by the bright light that flooded my sight. When I was able to see, I saw a disheveled man crying, without his mask or his hair covering his face. He was bleeding from his head, and he was also bleeding from his chest.
He was carrying me bridal-style, trying to escape the pros while crying and shaking like a leaf.

'Sir, stand down. Give us the girl.'
'NO! YOU CAN'T HAVE HER! NOT OVER MY DEAD BODY!'

I shut my eyes, too tired to move, react, even process what was going on.
I heard a gunshot followed by a gut-wrenching scream of pain as the person carrying me fell backwards. I hit my head on the concrete and once again fell unconscious, blissfully unaware of my surroundings.
Before I lost consciousness, however, I could hear the faint lines of Hayashi's favourite song playing in my head.

A faint, thin smile reached my lips before the whole world came crashing down and I blacked out.
