Nightmare

Lily's emerald eyes quickly opened, as she heard the screams of her wife beside her. "Cissy! Cissy! Shhh. Shhh. It's okay it's just a dream." Lily said comfortingly, whilst wiping the sweat that beaded upon Narcissa's pale forehead. Narcissa opened her eyes, tears dripping down her rosey cheeks. "Do you want to talk about it?" Lily asked softly. Narcissa nodded, still shaken up. "Okay. Lumos maxima." Lily said whilst flicking her wand.

Narcissa sat up with her pillow behind her back. "Lily, I had an awful nightmare." The young woman said in a panicked tone, tears still rushing down her face. "What happened?" Lily questioned. "In the dream?" Her green eyes were full of concern. "I dreamt that mother and father used the cruciatus curse on you.... They made me watch and then....... Th-they...... killed you...." Narcissa sobbed. Lily held her wife close to her as she sobbed.

Lily lifted Narcissa's chin up with her finger. "Hey, Cissy. That's not going to happen. Look at me." Their eyes met. "I won't let it happen. We have so many good friends on our side, who will look out for us. Who even supported us being in a relationship. Hell, do you think Andromeda would let that happen?" Lily reassured. Narcissa shook her head. "No." She said sheepishly. "That's my point. Nobody will let anything bad happen to us. Especially not me. I'm a strong, sassy woman." Lily told her. The tall blonde giggled. "Should we get back to sleep?" The small redhead asked. Narcissa nodded. "Nox." Lily said quietly. The two lovers drifted off into a peaceful slumber.
