The teacher stands at the front of the room. "Today I will be explaining soulmates to you kids, you will learn in detail more about this in the future, but you are all reaching the age of five soon and that is when this will start to affect you.
"Once you reach the age of five, you will be able to feel your soulmate's pain. Any physical marks left on their body will appear on your own skin and the area will be patterned with black love-hearts. This effect is often referred to as "the Bittersweet Heart".
"Once you meet your soulmate face-to-face, the entire effect of feeling their pain and the Bittersweet Heart will disappear," she then turned to the children, smiling widely, and asked, "any questions?"
