Troye's POV
As I stand next to Tyler on Queen Jackie's front porch, I start to get even more nervous than I've been all day. I'm about to spend Thanksgiving with my boyfriend and his family, plus this is the first time I'm meeting Jackie in person. We haven't told her about us yet which makes this even more nerve racking.

At this point, I'm shaking and my breathing is slightly unsteady. I look to my right to see Tyler already looking at me. He grabs my hand and gives it a gentle squeeze. He has a small, reassuring smile on his face. This makes me feel a bit more comfortable and helps calm me down.

"Babe, don't worry. This is going to go fine. They are going to love you, granted not as much as I do, but still," he tells me with a light chuckle.

"What did I do to deserve someone as amazing as you?" I ask him as I wrap my arms around his waist and pull him into a tight hug.

"The same thing I did to get you," he whispers before giving me a quick peck on the lips and untangling his arms from my neck. He knocks on the door and I think, 'Here we go' as the door opens.

Tyler's POV
After I attempt to calm Troye's nerves and knock on the door, it opens to reveal my mother, Queen Jackie herself. "Hi Tyler, hi Troye!" She yells as she pulls us into a tight embrace. We both hug her back and I respond, "Hey girl," as Troye replies, "Hi Jackie."

She walks back inside with Troye and me following. She leads us to the living room, then tells me to introduce Troye to the family. I give her a small nod as she turns to go back into the kitchen to finish cooking. I bring my focus back to Troye to see him standing there awkwardly, twiddling his thumbs. I put my arm around him and lead him further into the living room to greet everyone.

Once that's finished, we sit on one of the couches together. We start up a conversation about when to tell everyone, more specifically my mom, about our relationship.
He says he doesn't know when a good time would be, but I already have the whole thing planned out. He just doesn't know it, and he won't until it happens. I just shrug my shoulders and tell him that we'll figure something out. He nods his head and is about to talk when, "Dinner's ready!" was being yelled from the kitchen. We hop off the couch and walk into the dining room to take our seats.

Troye's POV
So far, Tyler's family seems really nice and it looks like they might actually like me. This helps put me a little more at peace with revealing our relationship to them. But that got me thinking about when a good time to do that would be. 'I guess I could just ask Tyler' I think to myself.

I ask him after we've been sitting on the couch for a couple minutes. He says he doesn't know either, but I can see this glint in his eyes that makes me feel like he has something planned. I brush it off and nod my head in agreement. I'm about to talk up again when I hear, "Dinner's ready!" I promptly shut my mouth and walk with Tyler to the dining room. I'm not sure where to sit, but it seems like he does, so I just follow his lead.

Within ten minutes everyone is seated and being served. I pick up my fork and am about to start eating when Tyler grabs my hand and puts it back on the table. Sensing my confusion, he leans closer to me and whispers, "Before we start eating, we have to give thanks and say what we are thankful for."

Just then Jackie speaks up, "Okay, time for thanks, I'll go first. I am thankful for all the people who were able to join me for this holiday as well as all the amazing food we have and for everyone's good health." This continues around the table until it gets to Tyler.
