"Lets go outside"
"Bu-but its cold"
"I'll keep you warm" twisting around I gripped the sleeve of the 7 year old boy, tugging him over to the door
Sliding the frost biten door open, bursts of heat bit at my cheeks.
"Natalie no I dont wanna go" whimpering, he tugged away from my hold.
Not responding, I trudged through the 10 inches of frost, keeping a tight grip on the young boy.
"Dont worry I'll keep you warm" I whispered pulling further into the vanilla ice storm.
My feet were becoming numb, the further I moved forward.
Soon my body froze, numbed, and with it my vision disappeared.
I was free falling, though my body wasnt moving, I was sinking.
My breathing and heartrate slowed as if I was going to sleep
Im not falling...im being pulled down
and like a bungee cord snapping back, I jerked awake.
Heart thumping faster, blinking quickly to mend what had been broken.
My hands were burning, looking down i could see large gashes scattering my red skin
The forest had went silent, all that could be heard was the loud pants descending from my cracked lips.
Turning around-
Stopping half way I already smelt what had happened
Of course I knew what it was, I've had small mishaps that concluded in drawing blood from my skin.
Only this time.
The copper stung my nose
The tears melted my eyes
And the ice burnt my heart.
This was really short....I know....Im not sure if it makes sense...blah...mkay bye
