Chapter 5

Ashley's  pov :

After i accepted the marriage proposal mom and dad didn't bring that conversation for almost 3 weeks. So i just concentrating on my job.

After 3 weeks, 1 morning got ready to my work and came down to have my breakfast then mom told me to come to restaurant after work. She said that Mr. Joseph and his family is having dinner with us. I simply nodded and left for the work.

<<Later that day>>

It was already 6 in the evening and i was sill in my office working on some paper work. My phone vibrated on the table, i picked it up and looked at the caller ID it was Amber my ex girlfriend.

"Hello" I said annoyed that she still didn't  leve me when i said that i wanted to break up with her.

"Hey babe, are you still angry on me." She said in her high pitched voice.

"What do you want Amber." I said roughly.

"Babe why are you being like this
please i want to see you." She said like she will cry at any moment.

"Amber listen to me, i'm telling you this last time. I want to break up with you, and don't bother me from now on i can't be with you. I'm getting married." I said hopping that she will understand.

"Babe please we were so happy together, just tell your mom and dad that you want to marry me, problem will be solved right." She said.

I don't want to listen to her further so i just cut the call. I know what she is saying but i can't do that after seeing her with another guy making out, i just can't.

And to tell the truth i don't wanted to have a relationship with her. I was with her just because we had sex one time when i was drunk and she cling to me and was pressuring to be with her so give in. But i was searching for an opportunity to break up with her and it came i did it.

I look up to see the clock and it's already past 6. So i took my phone and car keys from the desk and left the office to the restaurant. But for me unfortunately the traffic was horrible. After that long ride i went to the restaurant.

As soon as i entered the restaurant, i looked around to see where my parents are seated. When i find there seat i noticed that they are not alone. Mr. Joseph and his family is already there and i noticed a girl with them, i think she is there daughter. As i walked to the table i feel a gaze on me so i turned to see that girl is watching me more like checking me out.

That's when i looked at her and my heart skipped a beat. She was really beautiful. She has a pair of beautiful brown eyes and a small cute nose and small lips with looks so soft as she bit her lips. She wore a cream colored dress which fitted her perfectly and to my surprise she didn't ware a reveling dress. It did show her skin some but not to much.

When i caught her checking me out, her eyes widened and she immediately looked at her lap like it is the most interesting thing in the world. Her face looked so innocent and her actions also.

Me, my father and her father talked about our upcoming new project and my mom was talking to her.

Her dad asked me that am i ready to marry his daughter and i said that they have to first take his daughter's concent. He nodded and said that she already accepted it, so i accepted and said yes. As i said yes they all had a happy smile on there faces. I looked at her to see her reaction. She lowered her head blushing and i got my answers to the questions that was in my mind.
