Promise

A fresh new layer of snow had covered the streets. Jimin looked out his window as he drunk his cup of coffee. The snow is beautiful, but he hated how it's so cold. He also hates going to work when it snows. Especially when there's twelve inches of snow, and no one has plowed the streets yet.

Jimin walks over to the sink, and places his cup inside. "C'mon Janggu." His little puppy hurriedly runs towards him, following to the front door. A cold breeze snuck inside pass them as Jimin opened the door. He wrapped his robe tighter around him, leaning on the doorway as he waits for his puppy to finish his business.

Once Jimin finished taking care of Janggu and himself, he hugged the puppy goodbye and left for work. He works as a product designer for a skincare brand. There was a photo shoot today for the new product. Jimin decided to stop by, admiring his work. Well, a third of his work. He's never gotten the chance to design a product by himself, and that was most likely not going to happen.

Jimin was mesmerized by the model who had amazing skin, which makes complete sense. He was just glowing as he posed and grabbed the bottle here and there.
"All right, that's a wrap!" The director shouts. Jimin took one last look at the stunning model before going to his office. He really wished he had the confidence and beauty to model. He wished, but hope does not come true. It was something Jimin likes to think about, but he knew he would never enjoy that kind of work.

Jimin sighed and shut down his laptop. He yawned and stretched before standing up, and heading out.

"Excuse me. Hey, Jimin!"

Jimin stops and unlocks his car before turning around. "Do I know you?" He asks when he meets the stranger calling out to him.
"Guess not, but um I'm the new photographer here. I was doing the shoot today and saw you earlier," the stranger replies. Jimin just nods in return. "Oh, I'm Jeongguk by the way. I was wondering if you are perhaps free this evening?"
Jimin bursted out laughing. "Sorry, is this some sort of joke?"
"What? No, I want to get to know you better, but I guess you're not interested," Jeongguk says with a sigh before walking away. Jimin felt bad for a second, but shrugged it off. The guy is new, he'll probably get over him by tomorrow.

The next day, Jimin stopped by the store to buy Janggu a few Valentine gifts. He picked up a few treats, food, new toys, and decided to treat himself to a few things too. Jimin casually walks to the undergarment section, looking through the Valentine stuff they had. He grabbed some underwear and threw them in his cart.
"Jimin!"
"Oh great," Jimin mumbles once he saw Jeongguk.
"What are you doing here?" Jeongguk asks as he approaches Jimin.
"Doing a little shopping for my puppy."
"Who likes laced panties," Jeongguk mentions, eyeing the clothing pieces in Jimin's cart.
"Hey, please don't peek in my cart," Jimin snaps his fingers and blocks Jeongguk's view.
"Why? Do you have some sexy lingerie in there too?" Jeongguk teases and pretends to peek over Jimin's shoulders.
"Tsk, what did I just say," Jimin pushes Jeongguk slightly before crossing his arms.
"Okay okay fine, I'll leave you alone,"
"Thank you-"
"If you go out for dinner with me. Tonight," Jeongguk added. Jimin quietly whines and throws his head back, trying to contain his anger.
"Fine, but just this one time."

Jimin returned home after the whole bump in with Jeongguk at the store. He gave Janggu his new toys and fed him a few treats. While playing with his puppy, Jimin thought about some excuses he could use to not go to dinner. Before he could even decide on one, there was a knock on the door. Janggu started barking and ran towards the front door.
"Jeongguk," Jimin says once he opened the door. Jeongguk smiles and bends down to pet the puppy who was circling him. "You brought flowers," Jimin forces a smile.
"Are you ready?" Jeongguk beams as he hands Jimin the rose bouquet. Compared to Jeongguk, Jimin was not ready at all. Jeongguk was wearing a whole ass suit, and Jimin was still in his work clothes.
"Yea, lets just go."
