Alton's cheeks began to cramp as his smile continued to grow. He was sitting on his bed, legs crossed, and pillow being held close to his chest. Carson- his all-time crush- just asked him to go to the skating rink with him. Carson Stacy was the school's infamous stone-cold jock. Every girl wanted him and every guy wanted to be him. Alton, On the other hand, was just your average goodie two shoe nerd that nobody gave a second glance. Well, except for Carson. The other day Alton was sitting at his desk with his long blonde hair covering his soft features. Suddenly feel a soft but firm tap on his slim shoulder.
"Hey, do you have a pencil," the low voice made Alton shiver as he gracefully turned his body to face the other boy. His big brown eyes look up to the half-lidded blue eyes staring down at him in a heard gaze. Alton's face began to heat up.
"Y-yeah sure," He stuttered frantically searching through his pencil case until it falls off the desk on to the ground, scattering all the pens and pencils he had. Flustered, Allton dropped onto his knees and rushed to pick them up. Only when his hand reached down to pick up a red pen, instead he felt the surface of a rough but somehow soothing hand. Alton's eyes widen as his face heats up even more. He felt a burning gaze on the top of his head and as he slowly glanced up he met the burning gaze of the one and only star hockey player.
"Um I'm sorry," he says shooting up off the floor, tightly wrapping his arms around himself.
"Its fine," the deep voice fills the entire room. Carson slowly picked up each and every pen, pencil, and eraser. His large hards took the pencil case from the floor and put the hand full of stationary back in its holder. Then gently handed in back to the smaller male.
"What were you watching," the hockey player spoke, his long finger pointing to the computer screen. Alton looks over and sees the figure skating video playing silently.
"Oh, that's nothing he says," rushing over to his laptop and closing it tightly. He doesn't want people at school to know he figures skates. At his old school, he would always get made fun of and be called a sissy. Alton does not want that to happen again.
"Do you skate," Alton looks up at Carson as he spoke. What he saw amazed him. Carson's eyes were lit up in a brilliant blue, his mouth turned into one of the biggest and brightest smiles he has ever seen. Alton was speechless. How could he say no to that? This big puppy of a man was almost begging that he would say yes.
"Y-yeah, I figure skate," Alton said looking at the ground, crossing his arms self consciously.
"That's so amazing," Carson beamed down at him. Then he frowned. Alton was staring at his feet like they were the most interesting thing in the world. So, for some reason, Carson felt the need to reach his large hands to the side of Alton's jaw and lift his head so he could see his soft eyes.
"Hey, I cant see you if you look at the ground like that," Alton's eyes felt like they were going to fall out of their sockets. His biggest crush was holding onto his face.
"S-sorry Carson," Alton said keeping eye contact, arms wrapping tighter around himself.
"Well, why don't we go skating this weekend," Carson confidently spoke. And, of course, Alton said yes.
And now we're here.
