Jax ran his hand through his kinky hair, biting his plump rosy lip. "I don't know Hermione, it's so — awkward."

"Awkward?" Hermione took a sip of her bubbly water. "You'd be staying at Ron's house."

The boy leaned forward on the table, resting his chin on his hands. "Exactly, and Ron's brother hates me."

She lifted a brow. "Which one."

"Dont feign innocence, you know which one. Fred has always been, " he paused, turning his blue eyes to the passing muggles. "Weird."

He thought when they met as chitlit's they got along fine. Though, when he started school, Fred voided him like the plague and/or glared at him anytime he looked his way.

Even when Jax, Hermione, Ron, and Harry had gone through all they had in their 3 years together, Ron's brother was still always distant.

"Jax, you're going. You'll be staying in Ron's room and won't even see Fred. There's an extra seat in the box for you and it would be rude to not accept."

"Hermione—"

"Jaxson. Eat the rest of your lunch then get your butt home and pack." She picked up her bubbly water. "See you at the house." She kissed his cheek before making her way out of the London cafe. Jax sighed, biting into his smashed chickpea and avocado salad sandwich.

The girl was only 14 and more persuasive than some adults.

Jax Flooed into the burrow, dragging his luggage behind him. He brushed himself off looking around the house he had only been to a few times. Jax stepped into the kitchen, finding Mrs. Weasley busying herself with some sort of food.

"Jaxson darling, I'm glad you got here safe. " Jax blinked. He was unsure how she had known it was him when she hadn't even turned around. Mrs. Weasley looked over her shoulder smiling. "Hermione is upstairs with Ginny, the others went to get Harry. Why don't you go one up and I'll finish these sandwichs for you all to eat, hmm?"

"Oh it's fine Mrs. Weasely, I just ate lunch —"

"Nonsense!" She swatted, turning back to her work. "You're a growing boy and need food. Plus, I've been working on hand making food instead of just with magic. Now hurry on upstairs before Hermione comes down to drag you up."

Jax nodded, smiling. Did everyone know he was here? He dismissed the thought, making his way up the rickety stairs that spiraled every which way and were never the same height.

"' Mione?" He muttered turning the corner and into Ginny's room.

"Finally you got here." Hermione and Ginny were currently sitting on Ginny's bed bent over some magazines.

Jax threw his luggage by the door sitting in Ginny's empty sofa seat by the window. "What am I getting myself into coming in here?"

"Oh be quiet, like you haven't sat in on our gossip before." Ginny rolled her eyes. "I had just mentioned to Hermione that Cedric is accompanying us to the portkey tomorrow. He's so cute. "

"And 4 years older than you." Hermione laughed.

"So? Age doesn't matter after you are of age, you know what I mean?"

Hermione flicked through one of the Witch Weekly magazines. "From what I've seen Gin, you might not be his type."

Ginny looked surprised turning to Jax. He was distracted by her many posters of the Chudley Cannons. "Wait, Jax, is he gay?"
