A Beautiful day in Geesala

It is midday in Geesala Ireland, in the year 18xx. A small group of men are riding their horses through the hills near town. Their names are Will O'Hart, Ruadhán O'Flynn, Charles Crowe, and Christopher O'Duff. They are all heading into town to meet with a man they once knew, Sam Nyland.

"What if he doesn't show"

"Don't worry, hell show up, he has every reason to"

"He can't afford to be a coward, not after what happened to O'Neil"

"Don't speak ill of the dead Will, we all know that could have been any of us"

"You say that every time Flynn, but nothing will change my mind"

"We can discuss this later, before we forget what we came here for though, let's actually finish the deed. Charles, stay just outside of town, and the rest of us will have a chat with Ol' Sam"

With that Will, Christopher, and Ruadhán rode down onto the small town, to meet with Sam. Charles Crowe stayed back at his position, high upon a hill outside of town, and could only think of what brought things to come to how they had today. Ever since they lost O'Neil they've been looking for Sam Nyland. Nyland was the reason Will and O'Neil were arrested in the first place, when things fell through he tried to set them up with work as an apology, but some things come too late. After a while Nyland disappeared from town, even leaving his wife and child behind. "Why did I ever get roped up in this" Charles thought. He was the only one in this group that had not a reason to find, and "discuss things" with Sam. Sure Sam sided with the English a bit too often, but who wouldn't if they could in times like these? Charles just hoped that things were going well down there, in the old town of Geesala.

Things were not going well down in the old town of Geesala, to the dismay of Will, Christopher, and Ruadhán. As it turns out, Sam did indeed show, just with a surprise, O'Neill's brother, Patrick. Patrick, unsurprisingly, did not come to this showing unarmed, and as soon as Christopher walked into the back room to the pub, Patrick made short work of making sure Christopher no longer had two functioning knees.

"Now that you know I'm serious, you three will sit down, and have a real discussion"

"The hell Patrick? You weren't supposed to do anything unless they made a move first"

As Christopher was writhing in pain Will and Ruadhán, began drawing their weapons with Will stating "Now Sam, we can make this meeting real short unless you tell the kid to put down the gun, and get something for Christopher to calm the pain"

"Alright, I just want to have a friendly meeting, Patrick go outside, don't come back until I get you, and I'll talk with the bartender about your friends problem"

After Sam accosted Patrick and walked him out for the remainder of the day, he walked to the bar.

"Now Josh, don't mention anything you see here today, and give me a bottle of whatever the strongest thing you have here today"

"You're paying for any damages Sam, know its a miracle I let you have a meeting here in the first place"

"I know that, I'll make sure you get paid handsomely, but this has to end today, I never did anything wrong, but they can never seem to see that I needed to save my family first"

"Whatever you say, as long as you pay up, you can talk to them all night if I care"

"Alright, I'm going back in. Now that Patrick is gone, make sure no one comes back here"

With that, Sam walked back into the room with the three other startled Irishmen, and Patrick began talking to himself.

"Why in hell did Sam kick me out" Patrick grumbled to himself, kicking a nearby stone, "Those bastards had it coming for them, ever since what they did to Liam, if sam lets em walk today, I may never get my chance again"

As Patrick ranted to himself walking through town, Charles began to notice him down below in the town. Charles was going to have a word with this fellow that just came out of the Old Fox Pub, to see what was really going on today.

"Ok there Christopher, drink this it should help with the pain"

"Dammit, why in hell did he do that"

"He's related to O'Neil... so he's an idiot"

"Anyway boys, you came here to talk to me, let's get to it"

"Well yes, anyway you know we've been looking for you for quite a while now, you need to answer for what happened to O'Neil"

"I never meant for O'Neil to get hurt, that's why I've been helping Patrick out, it's the least I could have done after what happened"

"From his reaction tonight, I'll guess that you weren't exactly forthcoming in your place in what went down back then"

"Not exactly, but you know he wouldn't have let me help if he'd known"

"That would be up for him to decide, we're not even angry about what went down years ago anymore, just confess what you did"

"... Alri--"

"BANG"

With that all in the Pub (with the exception of Christopher for obvious reasons) ran outside. There they saw Patrick, and a very dead Charles.

"Patrick, what in god's name have you done?" Sam shouted in desperation.

"He c-came after me.... I was a-afraid was going to k-kill me for e-e-earlier"

With their guns drawn, Will and Ruadhán approached the other two men, with Will saying through clenched teeth,  "Alright then, I guess we should take this little discussion elsewhere, what you owe us Sam just got much more expensive"

With that all the men who attempted to meet in this little Irish town, left it, worse off then how they began, to continue their conflicts as they have always been forced too.
