I was in the hotel with my dad and sister. I did want to ask but i was afraid for the worst.
"I...I bet your wondering where sandy is huh ? " my father said
"Where is she...?"
"She... she's in a better place ..."
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN BY BETTER DAD ?!?!"
"NO NO I didnt mean she passed ... I gave her up for adoption shes with a good family ... anyways im not fit to be takeing care of a 2 year old with this problem right now... she cant know what happened today...she will be broken forever she just cant ... you will act like cousins to her and will take care of her but she cant know ..."
I stayed in shock ...my baby sister ....shes..shes gone
My dad hugged me and told me it was for the best, for her and for us. My older sister Karina sat next to me and talked about mom and how much she misses her. "She was such a happy person ...she always made us happy no matter what...she gave me my life ..she gave me hope .." at that point shes started to cry ... I wanted to cry too but it wouldnt come out. Crying in front of my family wasnt something I was used to. I usually cry by myself alone in a dark room hearing music.
Later on that day my dad left the hotel to buy food from this place at the corner of the block. My sister was in a separate room with the lights off and the door shut. I walked in knowing that she was crying and sat next to her bed. "Hey ...I know this is hard and Im broken too but you have to be strong for us...be strong for mom "
"I just cant accept the fact that she is gone... my heart feels incomplete without her...she was everything to me ...she taught me so much ...she gave me food...she put cloths on my back ...she gave me a place to live ...she gave me a place to call home"
"Karina I know exactly how you feel ... I know this is hard but imagine how dad feels ... we cant all be deppressed about it even though it is. We have to be strong for mom and dad "
"Ill try ... im sorry you have to see me like this ... Ill make it up to you and dad tomoroww okay ?"
"Okay... now get up lazy butt dads here with food "

We ate hamburgers and tacos and talked about what we were gonna do that night. Later that day we were stuffed and decided we would sleep.
I slept with my sister and listened to music as I dozed off and then finally i fell into a deep dark sleep.
