3 minutes into hiding, the doorbell rang. I shot up so I could go get but I felt Lucas's arms shoot around my stomach in order to stop me. He explained that the people at the door were people who were trying to murder us. I looked at him in the eyes, he was telling the truth.
After another 30 minutes of hiding, we carefully stepped out of the cramped space. There was no one at our front door. Rosie, Lucas, Lily (Delilah) and I sat down.
16 years ago, before you, two were born Lucas and I used to work with your parents for the CIA. It is a Crime Investigation Unit, otherwise known as the Central Intelligence Agency. We had another college called Violet, but sadly she sacrificed her life for us. After 'the incident' happened we were all dismissed and were never allowed to work in the CIA again.
"What happened in 'the incident'?" I asked.
"We can't tell you right now but when the time is right we will" Replied Rosie.
When we were working for the CIA the investigation we were working on was left open and no one has ever solved it. That's because it wasn't a threat, until now. The criminal's mission was to kill all 5 of us, but he has only succeeded in killing 3. There is only 1 way to stop him. We must retrieve the Auroran gem.
The criminal knows that your parents had you so he should surely be after you as well. We are not safe here, we must leave immediately because The Black Bird (Criminal) knows where we are.
Pack your bags, be ready in 30 minutes, pack light and leave your phones they may be tapped.
"Hold on a sec, I am not leaving with strangers without my phone, this sounds a lot like the good old kidnapping story, we still don't have proof that your the good guys," said Delilah.
"Oh right, sorry," Lucas said as he pulled out an envelope.
It had neat cursive writing that belongs to our parents and it had Paris and Delilah written on it.
