JK's POV

Jimin and I sat, each on a chair while Taehyung insisted on standing. I looked at both of them then sighed, knowing that there is no running away from telling them.

"Both of you probably know that I'm adopted. I have no memories of my real parents no matter how hard I tried. I did hypnotherapy, but it was of no avail. However, the only thing I gained was getting clearer memories of this one person I want to meet the most, Jana. She is the only person I remember, but she died. She died protecting me. Both of you know that I came here to pay someone a visit and that someone is her. We'll go to her grave tomorrow."

I licked my lips and eyed both Jimin and Taehyung, waiting for any response. Taehyung crossed his arms and said, "And what does that have to do with your medication? I still don't understand."

"Well, I don't know if you already know or not, but this country we are currently in, is actually my home country, but back then when I was just a child, barely walking, terrorism was like a daily thing. It was close to morning breakfast, sometimes you have it while some others you just happen to miss it."

"One day, I heard screams. I felt the floor underneath me shake. I saw panic, and it took me so much time to understand or even to move and run away from all that. My brain couldn't comprehend the danger my body was going to face if I didn't move. I remember the sudden rush of fear when I felt my body get jerked out of my house. I'm thankful I couldn't look back and see my parents bodies because I bet they got buried under the rubble. You two might think, how can he remember all that when he was merely 2 years old," I calmly said and lifted my head to make eye contact with both of them and as expected both of them were shocked to hear that number so I gave out a sarcastic laugh.

"Little 2 years old me tried to get up and find shelter. Shelter my ass. I didn't even know the meaning of that word back then. However, as I was seeking to find some kind of comfort or safe place, Jana noona appeared. She looked like an Angel especially sent to save me. She did. She saved me, but she got shot doing that. I don't remember much details other than being escorted by her to an orphanage. Do you know what made it worse?"

I paused as I clenched my fists, turning my knuckles white while proceeding, "The last thing she uttered was my first name. Her voice echos in my head from time to time. It constantly reminds me of every little detail of that day, but more importantly, it reminds me of every moment I spent with her. She was like a real big sister to me."

I licked my lips and showed a small smile to cheer myself up as I finally ended my story saying, "So Taehyung, why do you think I take medication?"

"Probably to avoid nightmares of that day!" He said unsure of the answer.

Therefore, I got up and placed a hand on his shoulder while shaking my head and corrected him saying, "I take it to keep myself sane."

I stayed silent for a moment while I looked into his blank eyes. For some reason, I felt like those eyes were like blackout curtains, its only purpose was to prevent the sun from getting inside.

I suddenly snapped out of my trance of thoughts and walked away from him while elaborating, "It's important for an idol to keep his perfect image in front of his fans so keep that in mind."

"But why are you forcing yourself to be an idol? I know who doesn't like fame and all that comes along but why you!" Jimin asked so I hummed, pretending to think of an answer.

"To find her," I bluntly replied.

He immediatly got up and took a few steps towards me, uttering, "Didn't you just say she died? So how are you going to meet her? Unless you die, something which neither Taehyung nor I will let happen."

"Who said anything about me dying! I'm waiting for her to show up. Yes, she might be different. She might not recognize me as the young Jungkook, and she will probably think I'm crazy, but I don't care because all I want is, to know she is living well in this life."

Jimin looked at Taehyng, muttering in confusion, "What is he talking about?" Therefore, Taehyung shrugged his shoulders as I.don't.know.too answer.

I chuckled and decided to end their misery, saying "I'm waiting for her rebirth."
