Why Should I Care

As we sit and eat in McDonald's my phone begins to play All Me by Drake. That's my husband right there. I take my phone out my pocket knowing exact who it was and press the answer button.
"Hello"
"What's up Jasmine I miss you"
My boyfriend Damian said through the phone I can tell he's pouting.
"You're very straight forward as always" I chuckle
"Girl be quiet.. What ya doing right now?"
"just hanging out with my sister and her friends"
"that's good I'm glad you're settling down good. How and where is my son?"
"My dad is watching him"
" Ok good as long as he's safe"
" Alright Damian I'll call you later"
"Bye hon"
I hang up my phone and look at everyone at the table their eyes burning holes in me. "¿por qué diablos estás mirando todos a mí?" They look even more confused. Dear God help me. Janelle start laughing at their faces I just shake my head. "So Jasmine do you know anyone up here?" Devon asks. I think should I tell them who I know or should I not. "Well I know Devyn, Chance, CainO and a couple more people. The boys stare at me with gaping mouths. "How do you know them!?". What do I say! Oh God.. They're going to find out sooner or later. "Um well I'm kinda in a gang with them-" "WHAT JASMINE ARE YOU INSANE WHY!" Devon said a little too loud. "Cállate tonto que no necesito todo el mundo sepa! Like I was saying I put them in the gang. They had no choice.. Plus I'm the leader what I say goes." They all nod their heads.
"Who's Damian?" I hear Cameron say from across the table. "My baby daddy" I smirk as Cameron blushes. "Are y'all still together?" He questions. "Yup 2 years in 3 months I'm proud we've made it this far". After that we stay silent and walk to the car. I sit in the drivers seat and blast My husbands song Hold On We're Going Home. It's silent until Janelle speaks up "let's go to like walmart and ikea to decorate Damian and yours room!" I start driving in the direction of Walmart because of course Janelle is yelling directions at me in Spanish.

Dear god this is going to be a long ass shopping experience.
