Yes, Donghyuck has been wanting to see Mark quite a lot recently if he was being honest, but what he didn't expect was to see him this way.

Him and Jungwoo were sat down at a fancy table near the corner of the large restaurant they had arrived at which the older had insisted on coming upon saying that the younger needed to 'get out more'.

Donghyuck was now left alone as the older quickly excused himself for the toilets. It was taking quite a while so he began to busy himself in the large screen which was placed at the wall beside him coincidentally.

"And now it's our last song of the night!"

Mark was standing on quite the large stage in all his glory, microphone in one hand and what looked like a little toy in the other- a small item which was probably thrown on the stage from a fan or something. The boy looked ecstatic, and alive. Different from what Donghyuck had seen him like before; he looked fresh, energetic even. There was no doubt that the younger loved seeing all this, and his far success in just a few mere months, though there was a small part of him which did feel slightly deflated. Did he not wish to contact Donghyuck anymore?

"Oh! Our food's here!"

The younger's head snapped around to where the voice came from. Jungwoo had a large grin plastered on his face as he hopped back, the fluffy hair on his head bouncing with his movements. "Why do you look so-" he cast his gaze upon what the smaller was looking at before, and his eyebrows furrowed, as if in thought and his lips were sealed in a straight line.

"Xuxi?" he murmured to himself.

"Sorry?" Donghyuck asked, bringing the boy back into his senses. "Did you says something?"

Jungwoo quickly shook his head. "Who are they?"

Donghyuck's mouth fell agape. "You're joking."

The latter shook his head slowly. "No..?"

"They're like the biggest group from SM right now, SuperM? How have you not heard of them?" he asked in disbelief.

Jungwoo brought his hand to his head for a moment, his steps haphazard as he attempted to sit down.

"You're leaving?"

"You scared me!"

"Answer me,"

"I..."

"I see. I know this is your dream, who am I to stop it?"

"What about our career..?"

"Our group? It would've never worked anyways. You got picked for SuperM, don't abandon the offer."

"What about you?"

"I don't care, as long as you're happy. Just promise me you won't cut me off. I don't know what I'd do without you."

"I could never do that, Jungwoo."

"Xuxi, I trust you. Don't forget me, okay?"

"Never."

"Jungwoo?"

The older looked down, rubbing at his eyes aggressively. "Sorry, my head hurt for a second there," he responded, a chuckle ending it as he looked up, beaming. He had tried for eternity to lock those memories down deep, and he wouldn't ruin it by a simple trigger. "Let's eat!"

"Are you sure?" Donghyuck queried, not entirely convinced at the reply. Jungwoo was always positive and lively, so the lack of sparkle in his eyes seemed deceiving. However, he nodded for affirmation, and picked his knife and fork up, the subtle music fading in the background.

"See? It's fun to come out once in a while, we should do it more often," Jungwoo grinned as they left the restaurant, a warm gust of wind hitting them.  The boy beside him scrunched his nose up in distaste.

"Maybe," he sighed, "Thank you for the food, by the way!"

Jungwoo laughed, "No problem," and they continued to walk back.

"Jungwoo," Donghyuck began. The latter hummed in anticipation. "I'm not entirely convinced about you back at the restaurant when I was mentioning that group.. Are you alright?"

The older froze in his steps for a slight moment, urgently willing for the topic to die down, the memories, the feelings.
He quickly picked the pace up again, falling into step beside Donghyuck. "Yeah, I told you my head started hurting for a bit. I think it was all that flashy music video stuff whatever it was, I'm not sure."

But he was sure. He was the one who knew about their predebut for months on end and he was the one who knew about their debut which had happened previously. He was the one praying for Xuxi, hoping he'd find success, he'd even tried to contact him, in hope of helping him.

What he received in return? An endless, beeping voicemail that wouldn't shut up.

"I'm fine now though! The food was great so who am I to complain?"

Even if Donghyuck still hadn't been convinced, he didn't push it, noticing the slight discomfort on the older's face. "You're right! The food was amazing."

"I still prefer my sofa though," he continued, grinning at the way Jungwoo let out a defeated sigh.

During the remaining walk home, the only thing lingering on the younger's minds was the same pop star he'd seen earlier on television.

Was he too famous now so he couldn't spare a conversation, or even a hello with his friend?

Was it too hard to greet the boy?

But Donghyuck knew better. He's an idol, he's bound to be busy no doubt and he's doing an incredible job.

He just couldn't help the lingering thoughts about the rapper, more so if he'd forgotten about the silver-haired fully.
