One hell of a time (title pending)

Nothing. No light. No noise. No life. Who am I? What was I? Is there nothing past this point? Is this my life?

All these thoughts circled Ethan as he was in what felt like a dream. It seems time passed by forever as he was in what can only be described as absolute nothing. He couldn't even feel his own body. As he sat there, he came to accept that this was all that was left.

Suddenly, all the memories, sights, sounds, and feelings were rushed through his body as he was pulled out of this dream. He awoke on the hard ground, staring into a reddish sky. Ethan slowly gained control of his body as he stood up to notice his surroundings. He was outside of what looked like a once abandoned city, but now thriving with people. He couldn't make out any faces but he could tell they were there. He turned slightly and noticed more ruins and buildings, seemingly on the edge of crumbling. The entire place had what looked like a red fog covering the land, coloring everything in it.

Once Ethan turned fully around he notices a trail starting where he stood. Leading to a gigantic tower in the distance, the likes of which was in mint condition. The entire place stood out as it was the only building that was unscathed.

He follows the trail for almost half a mile until he reaches the entrance. As he reached to knock the doors burst open and he is pulled inside by two towering individuals. Ethan was too shocked to fight or argue his way out. The guards took him through another door, opening up into a beautiful dome, littered in gold and a dark colored crystal. Towards the end of the room stood a throne. Ethan glances upwards and notices a kid about his age sitting atop. The mysterious boy jumps down and walks towards Ethan. Once he reached him he stopped, and the guards that were once holding Ethan were now leaving the room. The boy looks up and flashes a devilish smile.

"Nice to meet you Ethan, the name's Lucifer!"
