Faiths POV
Hi, I'm Faith. I'm 13 and in seventh grade. I'm the lead singer in my band. Two of my friends are back up singers, my brother is the drummer, and two friends I have that are boys, play the bass and electric guitars. Right now we our practicing. We're going to preform Waving flag in front of the school. I'm so nervous!
"Ok everyone! Let's do it one more time and we'll take a break." I yell. "1,2, a 1,2,3,4!

When I get older
I will be stronger
They'll call me 'Freedom'
Just like a wavin' flag
And then it goes back, and then it goes back
And then it goes back,

Born to a throne, stronger than Rome
But violent-prone, poor people zone,

But it's my home, all I have known,
Where I got grown, streets we would roam

Out of the darkness, I came the farthest
Among the hardest survival
Learn from these streets, it can be bleak,
Accept no defeat, surrender retreat

So we strugglin'
Fightin' to eat
And we wonderin'
When we'll be free
So we patiently wait
For that fateful day
It's not far away,
But for now we say

When I get older
I will be stronger
They'll call me 'Freedom'
Just like a wavin' flag
And then it goes back, and then it goes back

So many wars, settlin' scores,
Bringing us promises, leaving us poor,

I heard them say, love is the way
Love is the answer, that's what they say

But look how they treat us, make us believers
We fight their battles, then they deceive us

Try to control us, they couldn't hold us
'Cause we just move forward like Buffalo soldiers

So we strugglin'
Fightin' to eat
And we wonderin'
When we'll be free
So we patiently wait
For that fateful day
It's not far away,
But for now we say:

When I get older
I will be stronger
They'll call me 'Freedom'
Just like a wavin' flag
And then it goes back, and then it goes back
And then it goes back

When I get older
I will be stronger
They'll call me 'Freedom'
Just like a wavin' flag
And then it goes back, and then it goes back
And then it goes back

Great! How about we go home?" My friends cheer. Mark and Jake, the boys on the guitars go home, as well with Melissa, one of the back up singers. Jessica, the other back up singer is sleeping over.
"Let's go up to your room." She says, and I follow.

Faiths POV
I gasp. Burning flames blaze from my hands. And, everyone's staring. Could it be, no. It can't be magic. It doesn't exist! But what else could it be?
"Faith!" My attention snaps back to reality. I look up at my teacher. I'm back in my classroom. With its ordinary blackboard, desks, and students. As well as everything else. "Faith? Can you answer the question?"
"What?" Kids start to laugh. I sink down into my seat, my face red as a tomato.
"If X times 3 equals 12, with number is X?"
"Uh, um. 2?" Kids start to laugh again.
"Shhh! Quite down! No Faith, it's 4."
"Oh." The rest of the day drags on, but one thing couldn't leave my mind. What was that dream about?
