Today is finally the day where I can shine . I'm going to show master my strength . I got equipped and a katana hanging on my waist . I slide open your door and run to the open hall where everyone is gather . Everyone greeted me . Hasebe is standing beside the bell shrine(Don't know what it call) . He pull out a paper and began to name ." Shokudaikiri Mitsutada , Ookurikara , Taikogane Sadamune , Tsurumaru Kuninaga , Shizukagata Naginata , Tomoegata Naginata and the captain is (Y/N) (L/N) ", Hasebe call . My body froze when my name is mention and was given the title 'captain'.

" Congratulation for becoming the captain !", Kashuu chirp ." Nope , not great at all ", I thought . It's my first time being appointed as a captain and during my first mission ." The year is 1667 and the location is Matsumoto Castle ", Hasebe ended . We all circle around the time machine . I sub in the date and location before pressing the button . Light surrounded us and carry us into the dimension .
" Have a safe trip !", I heard them saying .
Once the light faded , we are standing on a red bridge ." Please take care of us captain ", Shokudaikiri smile . I startle slightly ." Don't be nervous (Y/N) , we will fight along side with you !", Taikogane cheer ." P-Please to wark w-with you all !", I stutter and bow ." Don't be (Y/N)-San and we are grateful to have you as our captain ", Tomoegata said truthfully ." Are they trying to calm me ?", I wonder ." The attack is during midnight , why don't we wait ?", Tsurumaru suggest . We all agreed at him .
We can't find a inn since it's long way from the castle so we all stay outside and observe our surrounding . We walk in the forest that is beside the castle . In my timeline there is no forest but they cut them off in the future . I notice a leaf sticking on Shizukagata fluffy orange scarf . I stretch my right hand and got the leaf on my finger . Shizukagata flinched and quickly back away from me . I tilted my head by his action ."Ah (Y/N) . . . It's better if you don't get too close to me ", Shizukagata tell me . I want to know but I think this is a very sensitive question so I drop it . Soon everyone went separate way . I went to check out the lake . The Matsumoto Castle is built on a lake .
Time-skip
We sneak into the castle's yard while everyone is asleep . A growl was heard near the bush and we all got into our defense form ." Behind you Ookurikara !", Shokudaikiri shouted . Ookurikara had quick reflects , he dodge the attack and plunge his knife into the retrograde's chest . It disperse into ashes . Then a thick shadow hovering over us . We look up to see ten no twenty retrograde army jumping down and circle around us ." Tch ! We got ambush ", Ookurikara click his tongue . We stick to each other back . I gaze at our surrounding while thinking of a way to break their formation . A bulb pop into my mind .
" Everyone !", I yell getting their attention ." Dug under them !", I demanded . They seem to get what I mean . When a large sword was about to hit my way , I dodge by squat myself down . I use my legs strength to dug under their open legs . Since my body is tiny and their body size is huge , it's easy . I turn around and use my feet to stop myself from sliding further . I jump up and slice the retrograde's head off . It disperse into ashes ." I could become a great demon slayer ", I thought proudly to myself .
I look at my team and notice they had successfully get out from their trap . Soon the retrograde army is getting lesser . I jump up in the air when I feel a presence behind me . I did a back flip and landed on it head . I cut off it head again . The head roll down on the ground before disappearing ." Aahhh !", I heard a scream . I turn my full attention at the source of the sound . Taikogane is surrounded by two retrograde army . Without thinking , I dash toward him . Since one retrograde had his back facing me and he didn't notice me approaching . I swing my body in the air ." Total concentration , water breathing , second form : Water wheel !", I exclaim . My sword piece through his thick neck and flew to the air . I landed safely onto the mud and I stand in front of Taikogane .
A large sword came flying at me , I block it with my katana . I stand strong , trying to push the sword away from my face . But his strength is strong . My arms is shaking ." (Y/N) !", Taikogane scream my name ." I can't back down , I need to protect my subordinate ", I thought . I take a deep breath ." Total concentration , water breathing , eighth form : Waterfall Basin !", I chanted . I cuts the target vertically . His body split in half . Even though there's no water coming out from my sword but I practice well .
" Thank you (Y/N) ", Taikogane thanks sincerely . I saw red blood pouring down from his left arm . I began to panicked ." Don't move too much ", I said worriedly and urge him to sit down ." No , I'm a toudan danshi and I had to fight !", he said with determination . I turn my attention toward the rest of my teammates . They are standing , find and well . Their clothes is torn but no cuts . Everything had calm down .
" You did great as your first time being our captain ", Tsurumaru patted my head . I giggle at his compliment ." My garment is cover in dirt , I need to wash myself up now ", Tomoegata sigh . Shokudaikiri lift Taikogane up with his arm on his shoulder . My watch began to flash and so does the others . With a blink of an eye , we are surrounded by bright light .
Once I adjusted the light , I open my eyes . We are back ." I'll take Taikogane to the repair room ", Shokudaikiri said and waste no time to leave ." Hey (Y/N) wanna see something fun ?", Tsurumaru question with a smirk . I got a bad feeling at what he's thinking . Ookurikara was about to walk away but Tsurumaru grab his right arm and pull him backward ." Let's go !", Tsurumaru said happily . He take my left wrist and pull me with him .
" U-Umm be safe . . . .", Shizukagata said timidly in his low tone . There's a flash of pity in his expression . Tomoegata give me a slight bow . Okay , I really got a bad feeling of what Tsurumaru is planning . Is it another prank ? Please don't get me involve with your trouble again . This is not the first time already .
